Be still my heart.

First results in Iowa, as most places, are from small population counties that don’t matter much.

Some local media calling Ernst the winner already.

She’s trailing but Brandstad (the R Governor) is tied and called the winner, meaning it’s rat precincts reporting so far.

As of this post time:

Senate: Republicans have locked up 46 seats, ahead in six more
Senate: Democrats have locked up 40 seats, ahead in two more

House: Republicans have locked up 170 seats, ahead in 40
House: Democrats have locked up 102 seats, ahead in 29

Governors: Republicans have locked up 18 seats, ahead in 9
Governors: Democrats have locked up 11 seats, ahead in 5

I would like to invite folks to use the Los Angeles Times Senate, House, and Nationwide State Gubantorial candidate breakdowns.  It's a fairly good indicator of where things are headed.

Note: Make sure ALL is selected.  Then you can click on Senate, House, or Governors

These categories show current wins and gains.
(Ex: Republican = 44 +4 / Democrats = 38+2)  correction Note: + denotes leading in that many reaces in addition to already won

Kasich is making my stomach turn. Fox’s Bret Bair congratulated him on his win, and asked him about Gov Walker’s tough, tight race. He barely skimmed over Gov Walker’s race and said, let me say this to the country....

Blah, blah.

Fox calls WI for Walker. Take that Kasich.
