Mitch McConnell willing to kill Obamacare with just 51 votes

Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., says he would be willing to repeal Obamacare with a simple majority if he takes over as majority leader in January, his spokesman told the Washington Examiner on Thursday.

The announcement comes just days before Tuesday's midterm congressional election, in which Republicans have a strong chance of seizing the upper chamber from the Democrats and putting the Kentucky senator in charge.

"Leader McConnell is and has always been committed to the full repeal of Obamacare, and he'll continue to lead efforts to repeal and replace it with patient-centered reforms that enable greater choice at lower costs. He knows it won't be easy, but he also believes that if Republicans are fortunate enough to take back the majority we’ll owe it to the American people to try through votes on full repeal, the bill’s most onerous provisions, and reconciliation,” McConnell spokesman Brian McGuire wrote in an emailed statement.

Let’s hope the GOP wins the Senate and not just by one seat. I could easily see Angus King switching parties and join the democrat party just like he just changed his endorsement of an “independent” to the democrat candidate.

Quite possibly, that being said Obamacare is just going to get worse as more and more of Obama’s exceptions run out and people start getting more and more of the Sticker shock of this disastrous Federal edict.

This is called vindication and it is very important that we remind people this is why we have fought so hard to end this disastor. Simply “fixing” Obamacare won’t do any good short of Gutting the it of everything including the individual mandate.

Mitch McConnell like every politician in Washington will be in real trouble if they ever support not repealing this growing financial and medical disaster that is Obamacare.

If we win the senate we should be able to put it to a vote and force Obama to veto thus finally putting Obama on record for his actions.

I know he claims things about the filibuster but the Democrats have already broken that truce, and there is nothing to stop them from doing it again next time they have congress.

Get rid of Obama care but let the insurance companies that helped the Democratic party push thou this monstrosity go bankrupted because of it. Theses companies, thier shareholders and their CEO’s have proven themselves willing to join Washington’s efforts to force us to buy thier Goods or services. They should live with their choices until it takes everything from them.

All we have to do is deny them any taxpayer funded bail outs, and gut the individual mandate. They and their shareholders will rightfully hang for their attempt to garentee(steal) themselves our business.

Meanwhile to fix the existing system Republican can ether way for Obamacare to collapse it’s cooped health insurance market and thus by default return everyone to personal-responsibility for their own health choices.

Or they can they can legalize the creation of Real catastrophic health insurance plans. That is let people buy only what they think they want and/or need. No mandates or required Good or services whatsoever.

You are free to believe Mitch McConnell all you want.

After Mississippi and the Thad Cochran affair, all I want is for him to lose.

“Because Obama would veto it. It makes absolutely no sense to try to repeal Obamacare while Obama is in office. We need a Republican congress and president to do that. There will be plenty of work for congress to do in opposing Obama’s threatened unilateral executive power.”

Don’t you see that is the point, as Obamacare tears down the health insurance company in America Congress has to PROVE that it is Obama and Democrats alone that insist upon this torucher.

People seeing their premiums double, and their deductible going up by a factor of 6, while their doctor choices dwindle will get increasingly anger. Republicans in Congress MUST direct that anger to the man and party who did this and refuses to undo it. Obama and the Democratic party.

This poop chute will SAY anything. The instant he’s back in the Senate, he will ‘reach across the aisle’.

When the smoke clears he’ll have 56 GOP votes

Repeal of Obamacare requires 67 Senate votes, and 291 in the House.

Sure they’ve had all this time to stop Obamacare in its tracks and now he speaks through his ass give me a freaking break!! I will never ever believe anything any of them say. Not even the new candidates that promise you change and promises of repealing many of the presidential orders ...they’re all full of crap once they get to DC they forget the people that put them there!!!

“You are free to believe Mitch McConnell all you want.”

I don’t like or trust him anymore than you do, I just know that Mitch is a opportunist politician and attaching himself to Obamacare in the long run will sink not only him but his party.

As Obamacare tears down more and more of our health insurnace industry Republicans have to again and again demostrate what man and party is responsible and contenuing to do this to the people.

look for the word “Fix” the law, well you can’t fix Obamacare without gutting it, Obamacare’s problem is it’s underlining point.

Mandating services, payouts, and business drives prices thou the roof, because it utterly destroys competition in each and every area now mandated.

* You cannot have better doctors when everyone is payed the same.
* You cannot have a better more appropriate selection of products and services when all products and service selections are mandated the same.
* You cannot have cheaper healthcare prices when all payouts are set the same.
* You cannot better healthcare choices when all financial results are made(by insurance footing the bill) the same.
* You cannot have a more efferent and competitive insurance industry when there they are garrenteed business with no legal competition.

All of these Government mandates are the underlining point of Obamacare, just as they are the utter-lining reason for skyrocketing prices.

Our health care market could only get better to the degree we not just repeal but reverse Obamacare.

I agree and we should be telling our Congressmen now NEVER to approve one penny of our tax dollars in bailing out theses corrupt institutions. They and every last one of their shareholders should not only be allowed but encouraged to go under.

There is no room in a free market for companies that uses Government to strip us of that same basic freedom.
