SACRAMENTO (CBS SF) — California is requiring a 21-day quarantine for people traveling from Ebola-stricken areas who have had contact with infected patients.
Dr. Ron Chapman, the state’s health officer, announced Wednesday that California is establishing a statewide standard to protect the public. Chapman says the extent of quarantines will be determined by county health officials on a case-by-case basis.

Uh, aren’t we all “at risk” from ebola? Are there some folks with natural immunity? Maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea for Cali to go on a 21 day shutdown.
I would make this commentary....I’d rather not see the President, or some guy sitting around the Pentagon, or some governor handing out quarantine orders. We all have county health officers, and the military has individual post/wing commanders. If they note a person with actions or situations requiring a quarantine...then a simple order signed by the county judge or that post commander...just telling the guy you will cooperate, or we will help you cooperate....should be sufficient.
I don’t think any of us want some idiot from three thousand miles away trying to micromanage the situation. Especially, if they have no health or medical background.
The state announces a quarantine but it’s up to the county officials to enforce it. I guess this gives Moon Beam an out.

Good, but it will be overturned by the 0bama administration, because ebola is now a PC disease (carried by a certified victim group) and is not subject to the same considerations as other diseases due to a collective insanity known as White Guilt.
