Sarah Palin flirts with a run for office
Washington Times ^

Posted on 10/28/2014 9:28:00 PM PDT by Bigtigermike

It has been six years since Sarah Palin stepped onto the global stage in a sleek suit and a pair of Naughty Monkey high heels as an Alaska governor turned vice presidential hopeful ready to tear up the Republican campaign trail with running mate Sen. John McCain. The nation has been through much since then, as have Mr. McCain and Mrs. Palin, who nevertheless remain on public radar. Mrs. Palin still rattles the landscape — particularly when it comes to her many critics.

“Bless their hearts, those haters out there. They don’t understand that it invigorates me to get out and defend the innocent.

Yeah, I like early bird primary fighters too. More trustworthy than the latecomers. Less afraid of vetting.

But this is too soon to do more than ‘flirt’ until Wednesday. We shouldn’t distract too much from senate races.

I certainly like her energy policy! Well, enough of thinking too far ahead, at least until Wednesday.

No, she does not have a history of implying she is about to jump in. I never once felt used or got the impression she was about to jump in. EVEN NOW, she has not said a word about jumping into the presidential race. She have often said, you can not predict the future and she did not want to close any doors.

I have the same question. Not as many as some here seem to think, I fear.

“I have only one name to counter your points; David Brat. If you don’t know, look it up. You just might learn a thing or two.”

I’m fully aware of David Brat unseating Cantor in a Virginia congressional district. From time to time there are other isolated upsets by shoestring candidates in local and Congressional races.

However, the other 2014 races have demonstrated the power of the party establishment in controlling access to money and organizations. Look at the Thad Cochran race in Mississippi where the party leaders stopped the upstart challenger. Challengers also failed miserably in the Texas and South Carolina Senate primaries. In 2012, the Alaska GOP and monied interests rallied behind the incumbent Senator Lisa Murkowski running as an independent rather than supporting the choice of the people in the primaries.

Sarah could probably be reelected governor of Alaska or maybe even Congressman or Senator from Alaska without party support and big money backers. Without big money it is difficult to imagine her prevailing through the Republican POTUS primary system where many of the states allow crossover voting by Democrats.

On chasing links in this story, I was ambushed by an “ice pick” /voter-suppression pop-up link that told me how badly everyone polled by NBC & fellow Sarah - haters despise her and wish she would just go away. (eye roll)

Ever notice the snarky comments about her hair, shoes, clothes, eyeglass frames? That’s a dead-cert sign you’re reading a Grade One Sarah-hater, one of those hard-core man-haters soured for life by hours of “women’s studies” readings in McKinnon, Dworkin, Brownmiller, Wolf, and the rest of that sorry crew, who swore fealty to the Democrat Party 40 years ago and would rather be married to a ‘Rat-run USG than to a real man.

I wanted to chase the pop-up sponsoring link at the end of the “story” — the presence of the link showed it was a piece of political propaganda, not real reportage: a political attack ad, IOW.

The link disappeared almost at once, and the tiny icon copping to the source was almost illegible, in boilerplate type, and disappeared at once. I tried to backtrack to the attack ad but couldn’t get it to come up again.

Its existence belies its black-propaganda msg . I detect RatRoots... with a whiff of Cankles in the air.

LOL, Tks for the “Naughty Monkey” shot. Is that logo a lift from the old Peter Sellers line?
