Lawyer for Fort Kent nurse says she won’t abide by quarantine

Attorneys for a nurse released from isolation in New Jersey after returning to the U.S. from West Africa say she will not comply with Maine health officials’ requirements that she remain under quarantine at home for 21 days.

Kaci Hickox, who treated Ebola patients in Sierra Leone and shows no symptoms of the virus, agreed to refrain from going out in public for two days only, said Steven Hyman of the New York law firm McLaughlin & Stern. She traveled to Maine on Monday after her release from a New Jersey hospital, where she was isolated against her will.

“She doesn’t want to agree to continue to be confined to a residence beyond the two days,” Hyman said.

They are playing favoritism. Somebody just posted she works for the CDC and the lawyer was a guest at a recent WH dinner.
Odds are she won’t get it which isn’t the point. Somebody is probably going to get it in the US, we hope it won’t spread but by God if they bring in non-citizen Obola patients, well who said it, it’s to make Republicans react.

Now we know why the CDC has been so inept in dealing with this crisis and can’t stay ahead of anything. It is because it is full of selfish brainless wonders like this one. (Laz excepted)

First she says she had a normal temp. Then she got “anxious” and exasperated and that’s why her temp went up to 101 (IIRC). What I have read about a fever that’s not viral caused, it’s heat stroke or being in a hot environment and that anxiety rarely causes a temp to be over 99.5. I think she’s looking for her 15 minutes. IMHO and a date/job with Barry and full-time CDC employment.

With Barry importing Ebola patients from other countries, what will happen to the USA citizens that God forbid, may come down with this or some other third-world imported disease? Will there be Ebola treatment for us? Or will we be sacrificed? What kind of treatment will the healthcare industry be able to give other patients with illness/car accidents, etc that need the ventilators/dialysis/support care until their bodies have healed enough? This Administration has strained the system enough with the dismantling of a WORKING system. This importing of disease may just finish our healthcare off too. The taking down of the U.S.A.

It wouldn’t surprise me to learn that the WH had something to do with bringing Duncan to Dallas...sick with Ebola.

You're right. Most don't keep the quarantine because it's beneath them and besides gotta have your favorite carry out. Maybe she could have had somebody deliver it, set it outside the door, how to pay? Well, have to trust them with your CC number. I take a big chance that way sometimes.

The tents are a good idea if they can be easily disinfected for the next occupant. It is a little more humiliating but not as bad as Arpaio (had to toss that in). I mean they are more cost effective especially if things turn uglier.

Easier to keep tabs on, no Hazmat teams showing up in your neighborhood and tracking around to every place you went, no businesses afraid to reopen. You know some people will never set foot in that meatball place again.

Well, it's a damn good thing they didn't hide her in a FEMA camp.

The people are not lacking sanity on this. It’s only the Obola freaks and the media that are waving their little tushies in the air.

They invade cells and use the material in the cell to make replications of themselves.

The whole thing seems way above her pay grade.

Kind of like the way the Google cache of her LinkedIn page has reportedly disappeared... From Gateway Pundit

And what a coincidence - the first nurse who arrived back from Africa at Newark Airport just happens to be a CDC employee.

Darn I made some brownies out of a box mix and they are too crispy hard around the edges. Plus I used cooking spray and I can taste it.

I'd rather stay at that place they vacation on Martha's Vineyard. I can't play golf any more though.

The job that she had at CDC paid between $65K and $90K a year.

And yet she never mentioned it in her Dallas News article, where she complained that:

"Two other officials asked about my work in Sierra Leone. One of them was from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They scribbled notes in the margins of their form, a form that appeared to be inadequate for the many details they are collecting."

"I was tired, hungry and confused, but I tried to remain calm."

In her article she paints a picture of oppressive questioning, which is of course nonsensical since she was herself a CDC employee. She is supposedly a CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service Fellow who does field data collection related to epidemics. But she was "confused" and trying to remain calm when one of her CDC colleagues was asking her questions. What she wrote is simply not credible, but good propaganda.

Rights of the individual. Infringed upon by American society/government.

Legal standards. Social behavior. Individual behavior.

Depends on how you define rights of individuals. Free will.

That EIS title is attached to EVERYONE who has taken a couple of courses.

As far as I can see, she does stats and no more. I believe Doctors without Borders turned her down at some point because she lacked Medical experience.

See my post at #75. That'll tell you about this little smart a**.. It's her research.

I love to read the comments as well. The ones on Facebook have been priceless. There is one that started as a Fan page, hum... they didn’t get the response they wanted. The second is a “Free Kaci” page and according to them she is the next Mother Teresa...When I saw one admin actually calling her a hero my 1st thought was well now we know what the Czar is doing.
