Attorneys for a nurse released from isolation in New Jersey after returning to the U.S. from West Africa say she will not comply with Maine health officials’ requirements that she remain under quarantine at home for 21 days.
Kaci Hickox, who treated Ebola patients in Sierra Leone and shows no symptoms of the virus, agreed to refrain from going out in public for two days only, said Steven Hyman of the New York law firm McLaughlin & Stern. She traveled to Maine on Monday after her release from a New Jersey hospital, where she was isolated against her will.
“She doesn’t want to agree to continue to be confined to a residence beyond the two days,” Hyman said.

In the 1800s, breaking a quarantine for smallpox, yellow fever, cholera and several other life threatening diseases was sufficient grounds to be shot on sight.
Someone breaking an Ebola quarantine should be shot.
Toss her over the Canuck Border or send her to stay with her CDC overlords.
Arrest her as a public health hazard. Set bail at $10,000,000 or more. She is a self centered idiot.
She’s asking for trouble.

She may go wandering around her town, but I wonder what kind of reception she’ll receive. If I was a shopowner and I saw her coming, I’d lock the door and flipped the closed sign.
I hope more than one person up there has the sanity and guts to tell her off.

I don’t think that this nurse decided to do this all by herself. Someone has been coaching her.
She has a total lack of concern for anyone other than herself and what she wants. It would be poetic justice for her to come down with Ebola —
