Exclusive–Priebus Rallies Base: GOP Will Stop Obama's 'Un-American' Amnesty if We Win Senate
Brietbart ^ | 10-27-2014 | Matthew Boyle

Reince Priebus, the chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), says it’s “un-American" for President Barack Obama to consider implementing an executive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens across the country.

“It’s unconstitutional, illegal, and we don’t support it,” Priebus replied when a Tea Party activist asked him about the president’s plans for an executive amnesty on a conference call hosted by TheTeaParty.net on Monday evening.

“I don’t support it. It is wrong,” Priebus said. "It is un-American for a president to try and do such a thing. I want to make it clear: There is no part of me, there is not a molecule in my body that agrees with the president on executive amnesty.”

Priebus promised the hundreds of activists on the call that the Republican Party, if it takes the Senate on Nov. 4 in the upcoming midterm elections, will do everything in its power to stop Obama from proceeding on the executive amnesty. Priebus even boldly predicted that Republicans can and will succeed in stopping Obama if elected on Nov. 4.

“While I can’t speak for the legislature, I’m very confident we will stop that,” Priebus said. “We will do everything we can to make sure it doesn’t happen: Defunding, going to court, injunction. You name it. It’s wrong. It's illegal. And for so many reasons, and just the basic fabric of this country, we can’t allow it to happen and we won’t let it happen. I don’t know how to be any stronger than that. I’m telling you, everything we can do to stop it we will.”

If I had the money I would start a Third Party.

You don’t and I don’t either.

The best alternative I have RIGHT NOW is to try to remove as many democrats as possible. I believe it would be horrible to let Obama have control of the senate his last two years.

Do I love all the republicans? Absolutely not. Most make me ill too. For NOW, it’s the lesser of two evils.

NOT ENOUGH.

They need to guarantee they will reject any EO that grants amnesty. Congress can vote on and remove any EO a president issues within a time period - 10 days I think.

And if Obama does try to EO this, they need to reject it hard, and then go after him on impeachment and removal.

So the GOP takes the Senate and Obama goes full Mussolini and just declares amnesty with his pen, what will the GOP leadership do? My bet is nothing but whimper. They do not have the stomach to impeach Obama let alone bring charges of treason. While they could withhold funding, that would take a spine they seem to have lacking for the last 6 years. My bet is Obama will after the election go on an orgy of issuing unconstitutional executive orders that will finish his destruction of America. There will be a flood of illegals coming into the country who will be given citizenship and will be voting Democrat. The US will become like Mexico with a single corrupt party holding power for decades.

Love your comment. The stay at homers cost us the last election. Can anyone, anywhere believe that Romney would have been worse than Obama and his cabal? He did a remarkable job on us since his election. He has 2 more years to destroy us. I hope we can survive this. I really do.

What you fail to understand is that wont happen. The GOP and Obama are pretty much of the same mind. The only disagreement is who gets power/money/credit for America’s demise. Neither party is different.

I hear this crap from gasbags like Prince Rebus every election year.

But after the election, nothing ever comes of it.

“The President has the right to have his cabinet picks confirmed. Obama Care is settled law. A Republican Senate will confirm the President’s judicial nominees much faster than a Democratic Senate. Impeachment is off the table. After the election we can work with the Democracts to find a way to get this (immigration reform)done.”
These are all quotes from members of the republican leadership.Do you think they’re going to fight against Obama’s agenda? Here is the quote that makes me really laugh “We have to elect the republicans to stop Obama’s agenda!” The republicans took in the house in 2010 with the power to fund or cut funding to all of Obama programs. What have they done to fight Obama?Have they earned your vote? Or rather have they decided to sit at the table and be a player in the socialist government game. I for one am not going to vote for republicans until they actually show me something to vote for.

I think you missed the point that when you only control one chamber of the congress, it is not as easy as you think especially when there is also a press that can help turn the public against the republicans as happened last October.

I think you also miss the point that the other chamber has not taken up a lot of the Bills passed in the house that have been created to support a more right wing agenda.

My point is, it is very difficult to get things accomplished when you are not fully in power. Just saying ...

The House initiates all spending bills it’s not hard to do something to stop big government Obama Care spending Fiscal Year 2015 $0. National Endowment for the Arts $0. National Public Radio $0. PBS Television Network $0. Let the democrats come out and justify it. My favorite Obama phones $0 They have power they don’t want to end big government they want to be beneficiaries of it!
