Maine News Online ^ | 10/27/14 | Tanya Campbell

An analysis was conducted by a team of reporters and data researchers to rate the success of the Affordable Care Act after being in place for more than a year now. It was found that the act has been a success at least in terms of fulfilling the main promises made by President Obama....

The reform has been able to...bring down the cost of health care.

DIMocRATs and their minions are chronic, unrepentant liars. Liars lie...that is what they do. These chronic liars feel that Americans are stupid...unfortunately, many are (and buy their BS messages). If only people would awaken to the frauds that are being perpetuated by the psychopathic left.

I haven’t a heard a word about obamacare here in FL. The Dems are doing a coordinated Obamacare victory lap while the GOP ignores the issue.

There couldn’t be any more proof the GOP have no intention of repeal. Zero chance because the beltway GOP are happy to manage the socialized medicine money pots.

Yup - and ask Democratic candidates why they don’t bring it up - or mention Obama on the campaign trail.

If it actually worked, they should be running on it! Well, why aren’t they?

My cousin has worked in a fruit packing plant for years.
He makes about $12-$14 an hour.

About 5-6 years ago he was having chest pains, or heaviness in his chest.
He ended up needing stents put in.

His insurance picked up the majority of the cost, but he complained about the cost of rehab. I don't know how much insurance covered, but that would be an on going cost, and after his portion of the stent procedure, he decided he couldn't afford the rehab.

Fast forward to this year.
He needs to go in for a colonoscopy.

Now, because of the Obamacare mandates, his insurance has a $6000 a year deductible.

His entire portion after the stent procedure was nowhere near that.

One HUGE LIE!

4 years ago my company paid 11k for a family plan (employees paid nothing)... Blue Cross. No deductible, small copays for docs and meds, most hospital tests covered.

Today, my company pays 11.5k, the employees pay about 40% more (I pay approx. 5500 per year) copays for docs and meds are covered, but now I have a 4K deductible, 2K each for me and wife of which we have already reached our max. So the plan covers far less than it used to and costs me 5.5K more than it used to. And I’ve dished out another 4K on top of that. over 9K per year.

What’s affordable about that? This is a liberal propaganda piece lying to the public to prop up the Dem party. Obamacare is killing this country.

They should not only bring it up,
but ACCUSE them of exactly what I posted as the real goals.

It’s pure BS. My company healthcare plan (Aetna) now offers less coverage for higher fees and copays. I’m ditching it in open enrollment this time around, and will rely on TriCare as a military retiree. But not to worry - all the Central American illegals can use their free Obozocare to take care of their head lice, enterovirus, ebola - here in VA, I vote for shipping them all across the 14th Street Bridge to the Free Democratic People’s District of Columbia.

Time for torches and pitchforks.

From the story:
“The Congressional Budget Office has said that $100 billion dollars will be reduced in the federal budget deficit by the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare, despite adding heath coverage for about 10 million people.”

Really????

Why sure! Our healthcare insurance went up a bit over 600% this year. Those like us our gonna pay for it all!

(Angry? Yep... more than a little bit.)

I was just talking to a friend yesterday.
He was telling me how one of his daughters applied to be a librarian at the Harold Washington Library, in downtown Chicago.

Chicago, "hometown" of Barrack Obama.
Chicago, home of Daley politics.
Chicago, home of crony capitalism.
Chicago, home to everything to the Demonrat party.

The library will not hire anybody at 30 hours or above, in order to not have to provide Obamacare insurance.

Chicago, the heart of the Democrat party
avoids paying for Obamacare insurance.

According to Van de Water, the ACA is enhancing the vital Medicare program, which is facing threats from influx of millions of baby boomers.
This entire story is propaganda BS: This is a cut and paste job (or REALLY bad writing & editing) and my guess is there's a little plagiarism going on here.

Sure ... "better" in what way? Who gets to decide what is best for me? Oh, that's right, the fascist liberal elite want to tell me what is best for me.

Look, I don't give a rat's backside what some libtard thinks is better. Even if they were right I wouldn't care what their opinion was.

Oh, and "better" (by some libtard's estimation) but un-affordable is still un-acceptable. Audi or BMW may make a subjectively, even objectively better car than what I'm driving now. But if I can't afford to buy it, maintain it, insure it, nor put fuel in it... Guess what, my paid-for 8 year old hatchback is a "better" car for me than that new $80,000 A8.

Te American people know when they’re sold a bill of goods.

Obamacare has worked exactly as intended - and the rest of the bill is coming due after the election.

It’s all just accounting tricks.

Yes, injecting a bunch of new people into the system who pay nothing (thanks to subsidies) allows rates to be raised on a lot of other people while still “lowering” costs. Throw in rationing (which is happening too) and costs go down further.

Guess what? If back in school I’d forget to submit an assignment, that zero would pull my average down even if I increased my grades elsewhere ...

Yup - and the bad news is embargoed until November 5th. Funny that the Maine News doesn't mention it.

Its the little devil in the details they don't want you to know about. All to cover Obama's incompetent rear end.

Well, you heard it on the Internet ... so it must be true ... right? Lord, please gift a measure of wisdom to those who would be fooled by misdirection, half truths, and outright lies such as this. Amen.

To continue with how the math works on this ...

Say I pay $100 for insurance. If someone else comes in and pays $0, the average cost drops by 50% (Yea!)

If a friend of mine and I pay $100 each for insurance and a third person comes in and pays $0, average costs drop by 1/3.

If two friends of mine and I pay $100 each for insurance and a fourth person comes in and pays $0, average costs drop by 25%. And so on.

Now that assumes that the money to subsidize that non-payer come from somewhere else. If my two friends and I have to pay 20% more each (so $120) to subsidize the non-payer, average costs decrease (from the original $100) by 10%.

Now keep in mind that we aren’t seeing the full on cost transfer effect of the subsidies, becase 1) Obamacare built a slush fund by collecting taxes years before payout started and 2) the government is borrowing money to cover a portion of the subsidies as well.

Its a Ponzi scam.

Wat happens when the subsidies are cut or eliminated?

Oh, that’s right people who had insurance only because of subsidies will go right back to the ranks of the uninsured.

And no one else is better off than they were before.
