And so, “Mr. Wizard” Roubini, just how do you propose to tackle that problem? For this asshat, the operative word is “may.” Now here in CA, your pissed off ex spouse can just tell the local LEOs that he or she thinks you are nuts, and they will round up your firearms and make you prove you are sane to get them back.
You are a good parent showing your daughter how to use a gun and also how to defend herself should she ever need to.
Not doing so is tantamount to child abuse IMO.

In “The California of the Past,” I also received a bolt-action Winchester .22 when I was in the 6th grade. My children, and now their children have/are using that same gun to learn to shoot (although none of the grandkids can dare to speak of their out-of-school activities for fear of their teacher’s retribution). But all of them are smart enough to understand what’s going on at school today, and the have become circumspect at an early age.

The children of Eric Holder's people are never given guns as birthday gifts, but they seem to acquire them anyway, and they are almost certain to misuse them.
