Billionaire investor Mark Cuban has some advice for the Republican Party: Drop the social issues.
"If I was going to give guidance to the Republican Party, ... I'd say, 'Stay completely out of social issues," Cuban said Tuesday morning on CNBC's "Squawk Box."
The "Shark Tank" star and Dallas Mavericks owner said this would allow the GOP to communicate a strong message on the economy.
"If you stay out of social issues, then the conversation from that side will only be about economics, and business, and growing business, and ideas," he said. "It should be easy!"
Cuban also said he would have expected today's policy-makers to agree with him, given that many of them grew up in the 1960s and 1970s.

Where have we heard that before?
You cannot separate social issues from fiscal issues.
You abandon social issues and the Leviathan only grows to fill the void.
How do you drop a line that you are being attacked on?
isn’t he the guy that hired Dan Rather and Mary Mapes? I supposed he want su also to support comprehensive border destruction and amnesty “reform”.
If I recall he also said he was going to vote for Obama in the last election. So he thought that Obama would be better for the economy than Romney?
Mark Cuban. Wasn’t he one of the Founding Fathers?
What good a prosperous nation if it be morally bankrupt?
Sounds like several Freepers lately.
States had their own laws on abortion, homosexual marriage, etc. until the federal courts got involved and struck them down. Now that the libs won through the courts, as they can't win through the ballot box, they want Republicans to stop making social issues an issue.
See how the game is played?
But WINNING! is more important! Charlie Sheen politics.
If the Republican Party drops social issues, its base will drop the Republican Party.
Conservatives are motivated by principles.
If the Party abandons us, we will find a new political Party.
Kardashian’s, Sheen, Cyrus...role models for a NEW America...(puke)
"Ye cannot serve God and mammon." - Matthew 6:24
Even if social issues were dropped the Republican Party is getting more liberal on economic issues and loving big government almost as much as democrats. That’s why they hate the TEA Party and grassroots conservatives because while conservatives want to give states back their rights, they in DC want control just like liberals and don’t want it taken away. So in the end giving up on social issues won’t ‘help’ anything
Stay off the social issues because the black community does NOT stand with Obama on gay military, same sex marriage, and homofascism. Why give them a major opposition political party to vote for?
Surrender! Surrender!

Obama’s First Big Mistake (By his fan Mark Cuban)
Huffington Post ^ | NOVEMBER 13, 2008 | Mark Cuban
Its great to see President-elect Obama aggressively taking on the economy prior to his taking office. Unfortunately, the economic the economic advisory team that he has put together looks more like a semester’s worth of great guest speakers for an MBA class than an economic advisory team that can truly help him.
There are a lot of great minds on the list:
Robert Rubin, Larry Summers, Laura Tyson, who served as Clinton’s top economic adviser; former Fed Vice Chairman Roger Ferguson; Time Warner Inc. Chairman Richard Parsons; former Securities and Exchange Commission chairman William Donaldson and Xerox Corp. Chief Executive Officer Anne Mulcahy.
Google Inc. CEO Eric Schmidt, Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and Roel Campos, an ex-SEC commissioner, and Warren Buffett are also on the advisory board.
Notice anything missing?...
Should GOPe also relocate crafting production of this message overseas to China too, Markie? That’s all one ever remembers from your pie hole on that ridiculous Disney show called “Shark Tank.”
I watched that show. I don’t agree with the premise these RINOs and liberals foist on us. We are not “getting into the bedroom” nor do we push any social agenda. We are on DEFENSE in response to leftist activism to change public policy. We are simply responding by saying hell no to their stupid changes. Then we are called social activists. It is bullshit.
They were suggesting a new party that is conservative on spending and agnostic on social (sounds like RNC-E). I would say there should be a new splinter party from the dems that is in favor of liberal spending and agnostic on social issues.
