SCHAUMBURG, Ill. Admitting his confidence in Cook County ballot integrity is shaken, State Representative Candidate Jim Moynihan (R-56), was shocked today when he tried to cast a vote for himself and the voting machine cast it for his opponent instead.
While early voting at the Schaumburg Public Library today, I tried to cast a vote for myself and instead it cast the vote for my opponent, said Moynihan. You could imagine my surprise as the same thing happened with a number of races when I tried to vote for a Republican and the machine registered a vote for a Democrat.
While using a touch screen voting machine in Schaumburg, Moynihan voted for several races on the ballot, only to find that whenever he voted for a Republican candidate, the machine registered the vote for a Democrat in the same race. He notified the election judge at his polling place and demonstrated that it continued to cast a vote for the opposing candidates party.

Has there ever been a story about an electronic voting machine voting the Republican by “mistake”?
“Its interesting how these little glitches always seem to benefit the democrat candidate.”
Well, it’s just the odds. Like flipping a coin.
A coin with two heads.
I always request a paper ballot. All conservative voters should, IMO. They liberals can still commit fraud (by “losing” them, etc.), but at least there is a hard copy record of my vote and they have to work at it to cancel it or change it.
“Im shocked that the machine even let him see the vote go to the Dim. Id of thought it would accept/show vote as R and change it to D, internally.”
I thought that the Dems were supposed to be the younger, smarter, more technologically astute party. Incredibly bad implementation of the firmware, I’d say.
“It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.”
—Josef Stalin
“I don’t think this country has had an election in decades.
I agree.”
It’s a much more sophisticated version of the USSR voting system, with much better optics and drama.
Nope. It's normal behavior here.
Based on this info, the Dems can look to pick up a few seats in the mid term elections, and Wasserman’s prediction will come true.
But doncha know in most polling places video recording is illegal. Thanks rats.
They don’t need to campaign because they get to decide who you vote for.
This is exactly how Obola “won.”
From the article:
“It is unknown if the machine in question (#008958) has been removed from service or is still in operation”
Are they kidding?!!! The machines program was probably copied to all the other machines in the state.
Been doing it for years. Nothing to see here. Move on (org)
Think the media will investigate this? Everybody and their mother knows the Dems steal votes in Chicago but nobody in the national media will ever investigate this, but let a black activist claim voter suppression anywhere in the country and the alphabet networks will go in to that location and start digging up every scrap of information they can find.
Exactly, they calibrate the touch screen so that its hard to select the R candidates. Electronic voting is the worst thing that was ever allowed in the voting process.
I've actually met lawyers who find it amazing that such corruption is tolerated. (If anyone should know of local corruption, it's a local lawyer.)
Personally, I think anyone who aspires to a political career be promptly put to sleep, like a rabid dog. Little boys who set fire to cats are worth more to society. They are certainly less dangerous.
Did they recheck all of the other voting machines to see it they were working correctly?
It's exactly how Pat Quinn "won" re-election as Governor of Illinois in 2010 when he had been consistently polling 8-12 points behind his Republican opponent for weeks on end. On election day, he magically "won" numerous areas of suburban Crook county where GOP signs had outnumbered his 3-to-1 before election day.
Unfortunately, most of the useful idiots in the GOP here just accepted Quinn's "win" at face value and retroactively decided that "Brady was a crappy candidate and ran a bad campaign" (when a week before the election, they were saying how effective his campaign had been)
Oh, and of course, RINO Mark Kirk (who had been polling far BEHIND Brady throughout the campaign season ) magically won on the same ballot because he "just worked harder". None of us saw Kirk lift a finger to campaign anywhere in Crook County aside from his own congressional district, but somehow, he had "worked harder". Perhaps Kirk was doing pct. walks in an invisibility cloak.
