So the question comes down to really the difference between being Persian, full blooded, and wanting to see Iran someday or calling yourself Mexican and maybe one day "returning" to Mexico, for a visit.
How many Mexicans could possibly visit Mexico and return to America the country of the birth?
Is there a parallel to Persians and Do called Mexicans?

Its like this.....
1st generation immigrants speak Spanish only.
2nd generation are fluent in English and speanish.
By the 3rd generation, English only.
Same with travelling to Mexico. I live in Texas and have always seen a large number returning at Christmas time and other times to see family and friends accross the border.

I had a conversation with my daughter about Mexicans the other night. Started about something stupid, like Mexicans don't have blond hair. I corrected her, telling her there is racism and class warfare in Mexico. Many of those illegals flooding across our border are brown skinned. Lots of successful Mexicans stay put, have Spanish blood, white skin and some with blond hair. Brown skinned ones have mixed or pure native indigenous (indian) blood and detest the purer Spanish blood Mexicans. It's not all the same down there. So yes, there is no such thing as Mexican blood. I had Mexican friends who were pure Yaqui Indian blood and they detested the fairer skinned Mexicans of Spanish descent. Some fair skinned Mexicans I know are quite proud of their Spanish blood and pass for white.
Of course there is Mexican blood.
People have been living in Mexico for thousands of years.

My best friends mother in Mexico is almost lilly white with red hair. He’s dark skinned and black haired. Get’s it from his father.
At least half of the mexican-americans that i work with visit mexico about once per year to visit family.
I’m in LA and there are Mexicans everywhere.
All of them love Mexico even if they have never been there. I am pretty well travelled in MX and can tell you the country is georgeous ... But poor and backward.
