A baker in Colorado is fined, ordered to bake a cake in violation of his own conscience, and sent to re-education camp for the same offense. A florist in Washington is pursued by the state attorney general for politely declining to make a floral arrangement for a same-sex wedding. A photographer in New Mexico is fined $6,700 for declining to do a photo shoot for a lesbian wedding.
A T-shirt company is ordered to produce T-shirts to promote a message it finds morally objectionable. Jennifer Keeton and Julea Ward are kicked out of graduate school counseling programs because of their moral objections to homosexual conduct.
Chris Culliver of the 49ers is sent to re-education camp prior to the Super Bowl two years ago for laughing at homosexuality in NFL locker rooms. The special-teams coach of the Minnesota Vikings is suspended and nearly fired for a joke about homosexuality. A safety for the Miami Dolphins is sent to re-education camp for tweeting out his displeasure over Michael Sam's slobbery homosexual kiss on draft day. A Canadian broadcaster is fired for defending man-woman marriage. Craig James is fired by Fox Sports Southwest for defending natural marriage in a senatorial campaign.
What do all these victims share in common? Their ability to engage in commerce was brought to a screeching halt because they would not celebrate, endorse or promote homosexual behavior.
The book of Revelation, in speaking of the end of days, indicates that one of the goals of the anti-Christ in his campaign to establish his own twisted caliphate over the entire world will be to drive Christians out of business altogether.
In John's vision, any Christian who does not willingly accept the mark of the beast will not be allowed to buy or to sell. He'll be fired, or won't be hired, or will be drummed out of business entirely.
So what is this mark of the beast today? That's easy. It's the gay rainbow.
This is the rainbow Big Gay has stolen from the Bible and from the church and turned into its own twisted symbol of perversion.
Anyone who does not plaster homosexual rainbow stickers all over himself, his resume and the windows of his business will have his or her commercial interests terminated with extreme prejudice.
The mark is on the "hand," referring to what a man does, and it is on the "forehead," referring to the way he thinks. It will not be enough simply to do what the Gay Gestapo demands; men will be forced to think politically correct thoughts about sodomy or face termination.
Legislation is even now under consideration—the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA)—which will codify the mark of the beast and use the power of the federal leviathan to impose it tyrannically on the populace.
The great need of the hour is for prophetic voices to thunder against this demonic oppression from the pulpit and for statesmen to thunder against this beast in the halls of Congress. "We the people" must insist on this. If the voices of truth are not soon raised against this abomination, we may find out it's a lot later than we think.

I used to buy things with rainbows on them because of the bible
I had no idea what rainbows meant in modern society

To me it’s clearly stated by Noah that the rainbow signified God’s promise to man that God would never again use a global flood to wipe mankind off the earth.

No, the mark of the beast is not “accepting homosexuality”. That’s not even a remote possibility, so anyone who tells you stuff like this has little to no understanding of the Revelation.

All I do know is that the greek wording indicates people regard taking the mark as an honor, something they want to take, something that they believe is good for them.

Exactly. In the original greek it’s the people who take it regard it as an honor to have, something desired and wanted.
So in their minds they are totally desirous and accepting of it, and voluntarily take it for whatever benefits come along with it.
It's important that you read the article again. It says "today", so it's not saying 'this is it'. FWIW, this author could not draw this parallel without being very knowledgeable of revelation already.
I believe the literal interpretation is much more in line with both scripture and today’s technology. Who today doesn’t already carry some sort of electronic ID? Drivers license, credit card, debit card, ebt card or employee ID can all be stolen or used without the owner being present. The world will soon see the “wisdom” of combining all into one implantable chip that cannot be used by someone else.
Yep, exactly. Most bible interpreters pass right over the information from God that says it can be refused. Refusing gets you hounded, and then killed, but it CAN be refused.
God has made it so that it cannot be forced upon a person. It must be willingly accepted.
They can force an implantable chip on a person, so that doesn’t fit for me the biblical picture that says it can be refused.
Nevertheless, let me point out that any government wanting to do as you suggest should be opposed with all out combat. That would be terribly despotic. So, in many ways you are on to something.

Why would they physically force that on anyone? They know that you wouldn't be able to drive, work, buy anything or do much of anything in public. Cash will not be allowed as is happening in some places already. Toll roads would check drivers. They won't need to physically force anyone.

Comforting. Even though the famine, earthquakes, and blasting heat from the sun or general suffering will be experienced. Those sealed by God do die. Many, many die. However, those who are left alive do not suffer the wrath of God in ch 17, the boils, the pain (vs 10), or the 100 lb hail.

I agree that it will be something voluntary...
But I also believe that a promise of something comes with it... such as dna modification that would promise better protection against the coming pestilences, or even prolonged life.
Revelation also mentions that people will be seeking death, and will not be able to find it... so yeah... that fits.
It says it causes ALL to get the mark. There’s no discerning between believer/non believer. Not sure how to take that.
It does feel like all of us are being pushed into the system. Doesn’t mean we all believe in it but the way the scripture is written, all will get the mark.
The discussed behavior is an offspring of the “Diversity”movement. Once everyone accepts “Diversity” it becomes a requirement. “Diversity” is an offspring of egalitarianism. Sodomites are a noisy part of a coalition of equality mavens such as blacks, Sodomites, Asians(70% Democrats),Non-Christians, Mexicans and single women. This coalition is sufficiently large in number and thus is able to impose their will on others. The average American is a prime victim as all he wants is eating, drinking, drugging, copulating, evacuating the bowels, snoring and occasional free tickets to “The Games.” The average American is no longer able, both physically and psychologically, able to mount any form resistance to the above mentioned coalition.
Considering the Book of Revelation chapter 13 discusses a satanic trinity of sorts, it would be interesting to study what this ‘trinity’ would make people do.
And the answer is it will cause people to break the first four commandments of our Heavenly Father’s ten commandments according to scripture.
Those commandments that deal with worship of our Creator.
1. No other Elohim 1. Worship the dragon
2. No graven images. 2. Worship the image
3. Do not take YHWH name in vain. 3. Blaspheme His name
4. Remember the Sabbath- 4. Mark of the Beast- do not buy or sell. cannot buy or sell
Our Heavenly Father’s ‘seal’ (name, title and territory) is located in the sabbath commandment of His ten commandments.
Maybe it goes deeper than the rainbow..who, when and how we Worship seems to be a rather big theme in revelation.

And all three have their own ‘pope appointed and approved’ ‘Sabbaths’ on a calendar named for a pope.
Times, laws and calendars have changed... amazingly prophectic.
