GoDaddy founder Bob Parsons rarely shies away from controversy--even when wading into the contentious debate over gun violence in this country.

Parsons, a gun owner and member of the National Rifle Association, says that firearms aren’t to blame for mass shootings. That’s a hotly-debated and emotional topic, especially after a gunman killed 20 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012.

Go Daddy! Does he have the $$$$ to help counter gates and his ignorant ilk? Gates and his fellow anti's just prove that on one hand you can be brilliant but it doesn't translate too well to the other hand.

The writer actually provides the logical and correct response/answer to this "hotly debated and emotional topic" within this paragraph, even though she probably did not intend to do so.

She wrote: ...a gunman killed 20 people....

A GUNMAN (a person) - not a gun. So, Mr. Parsons is correct. Firearms are NOT to blame for mass shootings.

See how easy that was, Ms. Aspen? You knew the answer all the time. You just did not know that you knew the answer.

We used them to host our public facing website at a place where I worked, and they did an excellent job for us, with great (English speaking/American) customer service.

This cuts different ways, FRiend. While I am an ardent and unwavering supporter of the Second Amendment, I also believe in Internet freedom. Parsons was an outspoken critic of net neutrality and part of the efforts to curb free speech on the net.

Be careful what you wish for.

I will agree that a gunman is responsible for killing 20 people at Sandy Hook.

The ultimate cause however is witless politicians making hasty ill-considered legislation in the wake of earlier school shootings.

Gun free school zones in reality are free fire zones for those wishing to commit suicide and make a name for themselves in the news media in the process.

Gun Free zones are magnets for the socially crippled looking for a bloody end to their tortured lives.
