Deputies responded to a home in the 1900 block of Woodside Drive (map) at 5:45 a.m. after a caller reported that the woman had been stuck in the chimney, about 8 feet from the top, for two hours, said Capt. Renee Ferguson of the Ventura County Sheriffs Department.
The county Fire Departments urban search and rescue team was called to the scene. Photos posted on Twitter by the department showed firefighters on the roof of the house as they worked to reach the woman, who was conscious during the rescue.
The flue was lubricated with dish soap before she was lifted out of the chimney, placed in a stokes basked and hoisted from the roof by a ladder truck, according to VCFD Capt. Mike Lindbery.
The woman, whose intent was unclear, was known by the homeowner, the Sheriffs Department said.
She was extricated by 8:22 a.m. and transported to Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center for evaluation, according to the Fire Department. Her condition was not immediately known.
The Ventura County Sheriffs Department provided this photo of Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa, who was arrested on Oct. 19, 2014, after allegedly illegally entering a Thousand Oaks residence through its chimney.

She was later identified as Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa, a 30-year-old Thousand Oaks resident, and arrested for allegedly illegally entering a residence and providing false information to a peace officer, the VCSD stated in a news release.
The homes resident, who did not wish to be identified, said he had met Nunez-Figueroa online and they had gone on about six dates.
He cautioned other people about allowing acquaintances into their homes.
Before you have somebody come in your house really check them out really give it some time before you let somebody in, because they might want to stay, he told KTLA.

[Disclaimer: It's always worked really well for me.]
Time for the dysfunctional girlfriend memes......
She appears to be a ‘bunny boiler’.
It’s Christmas in October.
Women never too THAT much interest in me.
On the up side, he got his chimney cleaned for free.
I suppose that's your idea of a little joke, hmm?
Well I'm not laughing am I?
Next time she should bring her own lube.
Oops. Looks like they had to destroy part of the chimney. Hopefully his insurance will cover it.
THE CHIMNEY SONG
Bob Rivers Comedy CorpThere's something stuck up in the chimney
and I don't know what it is
But it's been there all night long
Well, I waited up for Santa all Christmas night
But he never came and it don't seem right
That there's something in the chimney
and it doesn't make a sound
But I wish you Merry Christmas
There's something stuck up in the chimney
and I don't know what it is
But it's been there all week long
Well, the dog keeps barking up the chimney flue
And we don't know what we're going to do
'Cause there's something in the chimney
and it doesn't move around
And it's been a week since Christmas
There's something stuck up in the chimney
and I don't know what it is
But it's been there all month long
Well, it's jammed up tight above the fireplace
Now the house smells funny, such a big disgrace
That there's something in the chimney
and it doesn't talk at all
And it's been there since last Christmas
There's something stuck up in the chimney
and I don't know what it is
But it's been there all year long
I'll been waiting up for Santa like I did last year
But my brother says, "He's already here"
And he's stuck up in the chimney
And he doesn't say a word
And he'll be there every Christmas
And we'll have him every Christmas
What goes up a chimney down but can´t go down a chimney up?
An umbrella or your girlfriend.
True and funny.
Nah, it’s flue season.
She’s lucky she’s alive—few years back a psychotic Doctor got trapped and died attempting the same thing in Bakersfield.
“Nah, its flue season.”
Put a damper on the puns.
Mrs. Claus, is that you?
