Our president extends his streak of angering allies.

I wonder how many we will have when he leaves office?

Its a great stretch these days to call Turkey an ally.

The Turkey of today is not the Turkey of the Cold War.

In this particular case, good for Obama. Turkey would be more than happy for the world to sit back and let ISIS wipe out the Kurds.

As God as my witness, I read that headline as "turkey drop"...

Turky is an all when they need us. They’ll let us help them. If we need them, like during the Second Gulf War or now with support to Iraq and the Kurds, they’ve their own agenda. Since they’ve become a less secular more theocratic state, they are less of an ally. Sure they’ll be happy to let NATO put Patriot missiles there to protect Turkey, but they’re doing nothing to help with ISIL except talk, talk, talk, and talk.

Excuse me, I think this is a “good” thing, insofar as any action in the Middle East can be considered good. The Turks are intent on watching the Kurds die, and don’t give a crap if they’re massacred by ISIS. Maybe they’ll settle with ISIS afterwards, but they’re letting ISIS do the killing they don’t want to dirty their hands with.

We should drop a few errant bombs on those Turkish tanks just across the border from where the Kurds are holding off ISIS.

Does anyone know the procedure for kicking out a NATO member? I would say that Turkey is beyond the "3 strikes and your out". 1) Wouldn't let 4ID go in back in 2003. 2) Refusal to help Kurds and Christians in Iraq. 3) Refusal to let US troops act from their territory against ISIS.

I say kick them out of NATO and arm the Greeks, Romania, and Bulgaria to the HILT.

I don’t give a flip about the radical Islamic government of Turkey. The Kurds need our help. It is my guess that the operation was carried out without Obama’s approval or knowledge.

He was probably on the golf course while the planes were in the air.

I agree with this decision and support the kurds. It was obviously pushed by the military. No way Obama would support this move.
