AKRON, Ohio — Amber Vinson learned that her friend Nina Pham was infected with Ebola early Sunday morning and started noticing that she, too, wasn’t feeling well, a federal official said. Three days later, Vinson was diagnosed with Ebola after flying from Cleveland to Dallas

Amber Vinson is a nurse. There is no way she wasn’t smart enough to know that flying would expose others to the disease

The Texas Board of Nursing puts people through hell, high water and rigorous infection control testing and she is registered in Texas

In fact, the Texas Board of nursing had better be looking into revoking her license

Because there is a chance of zero that she did not know this.

Obama knows all of what is going on as well

There is stupid then there’s moral, amoral then there’s malicious

One of those four behavior models will stop Ebola. And there are too many of the other three running around

But Amber Vinson took the same infection control testing, study and verification that all nurses take

She is NOT stupid

What Quarantine? CDC until just recently advised “self-monitoring”. And they, to the best of my knowledge, never defined exactly what “self-monitoring” meant.

“Does anyone have any news about Amber’s condition?”

I heard a news report yesterday that no information would be forthcoming per her request

Per her and Obola's request, no doubt. If she had a temp on Friday, 10/10, before her first flight, and took tylenol (which has been documented), but did not receive care until 10/14, she lost many days.

Also, did I hear that she did not receive the powerful antibody blood transfusion because of a non-match? Not sure about that.....

Please read the freaking article, you selfish freaking jerk -— from it:
Vinson asked Texas health officials on Monday whether she could fly to Dallas after discovering she had an elevated temperature, her uncle told ABC News. State officials then relayed the information to the CDC, which cleared her for air travel. “At the time, we didn’t consider health care workers exposed because of their use of personal protective equipment. Those health care workers at the time, we now know, should not have traveled. As of now, they can’t travel,” said Dr. Chris Braden of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, who is working with Ohio officials on their Ebola response.

Wait, what??!!

Did she or didn’t she call the CDC to ask about getting on the plane.

The CDC admitted she had called several times.

“What is happening now is insane. It makes no sense at all. For example the head of CDC says: “Stopping travel from Africa won’t do any good because you have to get people into Africa to fight Ebola.” “You can’t get Ebola from an infected person on a bus but an infected person should never be on a bus because he can infect others.” “Blocking travel from infected countries would damage their fragile economies.” What about ours? What about our safety? What about resources we have paid for that should be protecting us?”

This regime is using the honor system to stop this fatal virus. You need more than that with a virus that has a death rate over 50%

Grania, these freepers are sick, selfish and just love to throw flames. They are wrong. If you read the article which I did it confirms that Amber did nothing out of protocol. These Amber bashers are sick looney tune characters with no respect save for their own false knowledge. They have as much compassion as ISIS and the rest of the terrorists.
CDC did NOT tell those 70 something caregivers to Duncan they could not travel.
Per the bridal dress store, Amber did not appear sick in the least.
The CDC gave Amber permission to fly on Monday.. She learned Nina was sick on Sunday.
For all we know Amber had this trip planned for weeks/months.
If none of the people who lived/visited with Duncan developed ebola, including the guys cleaning up the vomit, I am relieved.
These petty little people venting on Amber are absolutely racist.
There I feel a little better.

Oh wait, WHY is this regime using the honor system to contain a deadly virus when in Germany Obola gave a speech about how the stupid American people needed government to tell them what to do.

Those two are incongruent. The logical reason would be he wants this to spread. Cloward-Pivan at work.

If I'm an ebola nurse and I have even a slight temp and I am “feeling funny” I am not going to go try on wedding gowns, I am going to go get a blood test from a competent source and find out for sure if I am infected

I am not going to have some “uncle” or whatever calling the CDC or the hospital or whatever (the narrative keeps changing) and I am not going to hop on a plane and fly ESPECIALLY after finding out another nurse who wore the same gear is INFECTED

Sorry, she acted like a dumass. If she is sick maybe it is because she was taking tylenol and living in denial while her disease got several days head start on whatever supportive care they could have started

Agreed. I’m close to two nurses-—a sister-in-law and a good friend-—and I can say with absolute certainty that they both have more sense than to get on a plane, feeling sick, after having cared for an Ebola patient. Just wouldn’t happen. Vinson seems to have been lacking in common sense and all too willing to trust government over her instincts and knowledge.

And the hysteric who is hyperventilating all over the thread, making leftwing-like, screamy accusations of “bashing”, “flaming”, “sick”, “looney”, “racist” (LOL!), and comparing us to ISIS (even MORE LOL!) can take a Valium and get herself together.

Did you see the latest articles? She and/or her family lied to the media (it's possible she lied to her family, too).

That's a damn shame. Assuming she didn't break any protocals at the time, she hadn't done anything wrong.

Now, people are going to wonder if she was lying about anything else. In spite of that, I understand her circumstance. The CDC hadn't restricted the travel of the caregivers at that point. And I agree with you that at least some of the criticism of her came before it was known she wasn't truthful.

Mygosh, the woman has gone from being a successful professional planning her wedding to being a pariah, all as an outcome of caring for someone who shouldn't have been allowed in the US to begin with. It comes close to Shakesperean tragedy.

What with all this “Gee, I don’t feel so good - let me hop on a plane!” crap, going on? I cancel a flight if I have a hangnail. Where do these people get the money to travel?
