Grania, these freepers are sick, selfish and just love to throw flames. They are wrong. If you read the article which I did it confirms that Amber did nothing out of protocol. These Amber bashers are sick looney tune characters with no respect save for their own false knowledge. They have as much compassion as ISIS and the rest of the terrorists.
CDC did NOT tell those 70 something caregivers to Duncan they could not travel.
Per the bridal dress store, Amber did not appear sick in the least.
The CDC gave Amber permission to fly on Monday.. She learned Nina was sick on Sunday.
For all we know Amber had this trip planned for weeks/months.
If none of the people who lived/visited with Duncan developed ebola, including the guys cleaning up the vomit, I am relieved.
These petty little people venting on Amber are absolutely racist.
There I feel a little better.

Did you see the latest articles? She and/or her family lied to the media (it's possible she lied to her family, too).

That's a damn shame. Assuming she didn't break any protocals at the time, she hadn't done anything wrong.

Now, people are going to wonder if she was lying about anything else. In spite of that, I understand her circumstance. The CDC hadn't restricted the travel of the caregivers at that point. And I agree with you that at least some of the criticism of her came before it was known she wasn't truthful.

Mygosh, the woman has gone from being a successful professional planning her wedding to being a pariah, all as an outcome of caring for someone who shouldn't have been allowed in the US to begin with. It comes close to Shakesperean tragedy.

I have a good friend who happens to be black who a nurse as well; she knows that Ebola does not discriminate on the basis of race, and is quite angry about irresponsible people who are not taking proper precautions when exposed to Ebola! Is she a racist too? Why is it not possible to be angry and upset about the actions of an irresponsible person, who happens to have a skin color darker than your own without being called racist. I don’t know all the facts about Amber, the stories are confusing so I don’t know if she did anything wrong at all, but I do resent the fact that if you are under the perception that Amber was self-centered and irresponsible, and exposed innumerable people to Ebola although she knew better, you are a racist. If you are a racist, that means you have degraded, judged, demeaned, harmed, a person for no other reason than the color of his skin. I fail to see how it is racism if an individual justly criticizes an irresponsible action of another. If in fact, Amber was unjustly criticized on this forum, because of a misunderstanding of Amber’s actions, that does not make the individuals involved racist, just misinformed. If they are correct in their criticisms, that is not racist either, as Amber behaved in the most irresponsible manner imaginable, potentially killing thousands of people of all races, and costing others (such as the bridal shop owner) thousands of dollars. You are the one being racist; you seem to not want people to ignore skin color and to be honest with one another.

You should check your attitude because SHE DID NOT CALL THE CDC.

Also, family members have said she suspected she might have EBOLA BEFORE SHE FLEW BACK HOME AND TRIED TO KEEP HER DISTANCE FROM RELATIVES
