Shocking Kansas GOP sweep shaping up for Sam Brownback, Pat Roberts
kansascity.com ^ | 10/17/14 | YAEL T. ABOUHALKAH

Just weeks ago, Democrats in Kansas were salivating over the possibility that Paul Davis would be the next governor in the state and independent Greg Orman would be a new U.S. senator.

Not any longer.

In fact, rather suddenly, Republicans are thinking they are going to have an enjoyable Nov. 4 night of watching election returns.

That’s because they now have growing reasons to think Gov. Sam Brownback is going to defeat Davis and win re-election. That would be unfortunate, given just how badly Brownback’s economic policies have hurt the state.

And they are giddy over the reversal in the Senate race, where incumbent Pat Roberts could slip by Orman. That, too, would be a near-disaster for Kansans, who would be plagued with the shrill, unproductive Roberts for six more years.

Why the big change?

▪ Polls explain much of the shift in optimism on behalf of Republican officials.

The most recent ones show both Brownback and Roberts gaining ground.

More depression from the media.

If Brownback is reelected, he will be able to cement his conservative changes.

Strange. I see the names of these journalists that write for these US newspapers, and the first question I have is: Why don’t they hire Americans?

“I take it this is a liberal site!!”

It’s an opinion piece, but I don’t know about the leanings of the paper, but it’s likely.

Obama said the election was about him. When Eboma loses, he’ll say it wasn’t about him.

The momentum is shifting towards to the GOP.

Obama is an anchor that is going to sink the Democrats.

Given that this columnist is a racist, Marxist, pro-amnesty nutbag who drinks a gallon of Democrat Kool Aid before every column, I would say this is a VERY good sign.

Kobach baited the Democrats into gushing over Orman.

The lawsuit didn’t matter.

Having an R, D and I on the ballot may have helped Orman pretend he was a Tea Party candidate.

Yael is a columnist for the Kansas City Star. The Star has been dreaming about this election and wetting itself for months. They are scared to death about what Brownback has done in Kansas: set the wheels in motion to eliminate the income tax, poked a stick in the eye of the Kansas teachers union and made it clear that children, not union goons were his priority, and most importantly, he has run off the liberal Republicans who have infested the legislature for years. You can see why they are upset.

If Kansas succeeds at the expense of Missouri with whom they are in economic and political competition, the liberals of Kansas City, including their commie paper are toast, and they know it. They want to go the way of Detroit and they are very annoyed that the evil conservative barbarians are at the gates. The Royals are rubbing salt in the wounds, a little small market team with no payroll and no government overwatch who just like to play baseball. Oh, the liberals in KC are so screwed.

Of course there are the nincompoops here at FreeRepublic and in Kansas who want Orman the Magnificent to win and bring his brand of independence to pump up Obama and Reid. But, we don’t care much about them right now, they are staring up into the Kansas sky and seeing that meteor heading their way. It’s funny sometimes how things work out

Ebola is the ANTI-Candy Crowley of the 2014 election cycle. It appears that God is intervening in this year’s mid-terms.

You are caught up in a time warp. That was the primary, this is the general election and the enemy are the evil, lying, thieving, there is no Ebola threat, we need to import more Democrats, liberals who spawned Orman and will prop him up should he win. Try to think.

A snake on your lawn is more dangerous than the wolf across the river...

When Roberts gets re-elected the people of Kansas MUST do all they can to continually remind the Loser POS that he MUST NOT Stray to the RINO side....

When you elect a RINO the Primary process begins RIGHT AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN RE/ELECTED...

A large number of Polticians have lost their natural fear of man, we need to continually remind them to fear us even AFTER the election....!!!!!
