McConnell Says CDC Should Get Money Needed to Battle Ebola [Defers to CDC on travel ban!]

If federal health agencies under President Barack Obama want more money to fight Ebola, they should get it, according to the Senates top Republican.
I think they should have anything they want. The president asked for $88 million a few weeks ago, we gave it to him, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky told MSNBC. Whatever the [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] thinks they need, well give it to them.
The White House hasnt yet requested more money, although some Democrats have blasted cuts to the CDC budget and other accounts from sequestration.
MSNBCs Kasie Hunt asked McConnell about recent comments by National Institutes of Health Director Francis S. Collins about how funding levels have contributed to delays in developing a vaccination for Ebola, as well as the broader question of if more funding is needed to handle the immediate crisis.
As for the calls for the calls for travel restrictions such as flight bans, McConnell deferred to the health officials at the CDC, something many senators in his caucus have not done.

I heard the quote today. The reporter asked him about imposing a travel ban on incoming flights from West Africa. He answered, saying something like, "I'll go along with whatever the CDC recommends."
You Braveheart, man.

Shut up dodo. You have your race sealed and now you are going to blow it. Par for the course for the stupid party. Republicans simply do not know how to play hardball.

Just like he’ll defer to President Obola when it comes to judicial nominees for SCOTUS.
What a pathetic shell of a man (yes, that’s a turtle joke).

Cornyn said the same thing. No travel ban because it's unfair to Africa.

I am usually a 2A voter.
This time around I will be an ebola voter. Anyone not calling for a travel ban will not get my vote.

|3itch McConnell is too stupid to be allowed to retain his seat. I don’t live in KY and can’t vote against him, alas. Wish I could.

When the GOP wins back the Senate I hope enough of them get together and kick Mr. Turtlehead to the curb. Enough of McConnell’s decisive indecisiveness. Sadly, we know it won’t happen nor will Speaker Crybaby give up the gavel. We’re stuck again with Mitch and John Sellout aka The Boughtoff Boys.

[Defers to CDC on travel ban!] Not only stupid, in terms the potential danger to millions of Americans, but politically deaf as well.
