Thank you, thank you, a million times, THANK YOU! I’m an RN also, and I would have been VERY concerned at any spike in my temp, and would have STAYED home! Come on, it’s common sense!

He came in from N.Y. I believe and his big thing was anti-smoking. Actually the CDC is not a primary care type organization...I’m surprised that they jumped out into the forefront on this deal. I suppose there was a sort of vacuum to be filled. To be honest - there is NO organization that connects all primary hospitals in the U.S. that has any real power. It’s a bit of a hodge-podge.

I just read that The Flying Nurse’s flight had MANY nurses on board (convention) ~ who’ve been treating patients up until today. Yipes!!!

That was my first thought-
I have the SAME issue—I’m at 97.2 for normal too, so at 99.5 I am sick.
They are reacting to this and managing it using a P&P manual; they are not taking ANY variables into account. And the biggest variable of all is PEOPLE.
They are not all the same, they don’t get sick the same way, they don’t even respond to “volunteer quarantine” all the same way—some will stay home, some will go out for soup and some will get on a plane.
Then on the return trip, her temp was 99.5 before she got on the plane, but- what if it went up to 102 in MID-FLIGHT?? How can they not think of these things—but I (and a boatload of other people) CAN??
Their stupidity is stunning; to think these same people have some of the most deadliest diseases at their fingertips, is BEYOND scary...
She was visiting family, not at the convention that the other nurses were at from that flight, right?
