BOSTON —Medical crews in hazmat suits have responded to an arriving plane at the international terminal at Logan Airport.

A source told NewsCenter 5 that six passengers on board the flight had become sick.

The plane, an Emirates airliner that had arrived from Dubai, was surrounded by ambulances and emergency responders in white and yellow suits.

Massport, which runs the airport, did not respond to several phone messages on the nature of the incident.

However, international airports around the country are on alert for Ebola, though there was no indication that was related to the emergency response.

Are they wearing air tanks? If not they are breathing possibly infected breath from the patient.

BTW, I heard there is a new shopping center with an HEB going in across 620 from the Lakeway area soon. What have you heard?

As long as people are coming and going into these hot zones, I don’t see how this thing isn’t going to be contained. It’s going to get to a point where nobody is going to want to fly. I know I don’t.

What effect will this whole Ebola thing have on elections in TX? Any polling or anecdotal sentiments constituting a trend?

It is unlikely they would all become sick at once, also. Sounds more like food poisoning.

Too much propellant, not enough liquid fuel. It’s supposed to splash into the target. I know it’s a demo and they don’t want to fry the field and irritate the fire department. :-)

Tom Clancy was prescient. I read most of books in the eighties (tough slough with all the technical stuff), but current events prove his imaginative scenarios true.

When the Iraqi president is assassinated by an Iranian agent, the Ayatollah Mahmoud Haji Daryaei takes advantage of the power vacuum by launching an unopposed invasion of Iraq. The Ayatollah unites the two countries, calling it the “United Islamic Republic”, or “UIR”. With Indian and Chinese assistance, the UIR makes a bid for superpower status by attacking Saudi Arabia. Following a series of Iranian-backed terrorist attacks, including the release of an Ebola strain, the UIR declares war on both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Meanwhile, China “accidentally” shoots down a Taiwanese airliner.

Sound familiar? Isis, ebola, shooting down airliners.

They haven’t yet put two and two together on that or they’d have gone ballistic already.

I honestly believe that if Hurricane Sandy had not hit when it did, Obama would not have won the election, even without the Christie debacle.

This is getting stupid now. An incredible waste of resources. I’m sorry, there is NOBODY who needs to come here from the Ebola infected countries. And any people who travel there to work can just plan to cool their heels for a time.

That's why I said they may have to set up warehouses just in case...to accommodate at least hundreds.

If that many planes start flying in which are infected (your scenario) they will of course have to block off flights from those areas.

Not till March 2016. Hopefully the Leander store will be open by then.

Don’t you think it’s time for Secretaries of States to urge people to vote early? God knows what our scenario will be on Nov. 4. Nina Phan became symptomatic 17 days after working on Duncan. Election day is 22 days away. We could be looking at complete panic by then.

There are lots of things it could be. Ebola would be one of the least probable.

Conversion Disorder AKA Mass Hysteria.

Food poisoning.

Toxic/allergic reaction to something used on the plane.
