Pat Roberts: Jarrett Involved with IRS Scandal (estab Repub actually gets something right)
Daily Caller ^ | 11-11-14 | P Howley

Posted on 10/12/2014 7:32:09 AM PDT by C. Edmund Wright

Republican Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts said Friday that he thinks the IRS targeting scandal was driven by Valerie Jarrett’s office in the White House, according to information that he saw that Democrats tried to “whitewash.”

Roberts told talk radio host Hugh Hewitt that he participated in a Senate Finance Committee investigation into the IRS scandal but “the effort was made by the majority, by the Democrats in the Congress, to simply end that investigation,” which he called a “whitewash.”

“I’m convinced that even Valerie Jarrett was involved,” Roberts said.

It’s obvious, yes, but not all Republicans are noticing the obvious, and THAT was my point. Enjoy your bitterness.

The snark was due to the absurdity of calling me any kind of RINO or RINO lover or GOP -e cheerleader - because such a charge is just ridiculous and bathed in ignorance. It was also due to the fact that you were not the first to make that very avoidable mistake.

I am willing to debate intellectually which estab figures we can/should consider defeating in a general election versus those we need to win - and I am willing to be called names that I may or may not deserve - but to call me any kind of GOP e hack or apologist simply because I don’t want every single estab figure beaten is just preposterous....and I don’t take to it kindly.

I don’t know who you were targeting with that info about Roberts - as for me, I think he’s only a little RINO-ish in that he no longer lives in Kansas ever - he’s been in DC a long time - and the estabs support him.

I also might refer to him as a RINO simply because I’m trying to make a bigger point to some around here, which is that we need some of them to beat Democrats - so I’ll concede the RINO point simply to make the bigger argument.

But I’ve said on FR many times in the last month, Roberts is not the problem. He may not be the solution, but he’s not that bad. And Milton Wolfe ran a horrible campaign too. And that is not Robert’s fault. Time to just do the right thing here.

My original reply was directed at the GOP-E, not you!

Fine and dandy, but keep in mind McConnell was about the only prominent Republican that was raising the alarm bells about this targeting and confronting the IRS before it was news - only some reports on Fox News and comments by liberal commentators he was just making things up. But for him it may have never seen the light of day.

Yeah, some of these ignorant freepers calling some of us RiNOs because we support Roberts - are also calling Cruz and Palin RINOs too. I’m so glad Cruz and Palin are so much smarter than some of their followers.

Sorry for the confusion. A lot of that kind of thing has been directed at me, so perhaps I’m a bit raw from that. Sorry again....

That was my first reaction when I saw it a few days ago.

Has he had a change of heart, or a last minute bout of panic?

“I’m convinced that even Valerie Jarrett was involved,” Roberts said.

See? You can state your opinion, and what seems obvious to most of us.

He didn't state on the floor of the Senate that he received a message from an anonymous caller.

Iranian born Jarrett doing the dirty work for Kenyan born Obola?

She's Obama's firewall. The communication between Obola and Jarrett is strictly face-to-face. Nothing will ever be directly traceable to Obola.

I guess that was kind of ambiguous. I meant that Republicans shouldn’t be afraid to verbalize their opinions, even if they can’t be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

I agree 100%.......unfortunately, they are afraid to even verbalize some opinions that CAN be proven beyond doubt.
