Someone posted this cryptic statement -- "Bsr et bn n8" -- on a memorial website to my late beloved girlfriend.
I put it through Google translate, which recognized it as French, and translated one of the "words" as "prayer."
I'm wondering if this is a standard statement of mourning in French, or some other language.
Has anyone seen this before? Any idea what it means?

NO DOUBT it's the work of some VERY bored, teenage, male mind...and it means NOTHING of import to the rest of the human race.

“bn” may be “bon nuit” (good night), “a ts” may be “to you”.
Perhaps you could tweet the entire message and ask for the
English translation.
Don’t know about the rest but bn could mean bien in French, which means well, or good as opposed to evil.
Given the nature of the website and the profile of the people who would be likely to post there, I doubt it was some bored teenager.
She was in her mid-50s when she passed, and was a very accomplished internationally renowned award-winning classical musician. She was also head of the music department at a well-known Boston area university.
The hundreds of people who post at this website were family, friends, professional colleagues and students.

I’m not sure anymore. My experience in the Polish underground is now some seventy years ago.
