The poor souls wrote the requirements for their "hearse" and this is at least getting close to what they wanted for ULCV. It hasn't entered acquisition phase yet, basically a technology demonstration. This isn't competing with JLTV, it is for a niche role to operate predominantly off-road with enhanced mobility.
I have seen lots of pictures of Seals riding into combat in a rubber boat.
It looks like a suicide boat to me but then I know that they know what they are doing.
One grenade or RPG would kill them all. A death trap for 14 troops concentrated in one vehicle with no armor or protection. And the gas tank to carry this thing 500 miles must be huge. A fiery deathtrap, too.
