Yep, but that is what they want, and this isn’t an anomaly or unique to SOCOM— the trend has been going on for a while among light infantry. It could be a bias because of the sorts of conflicts we’ve been in of late, but troops and their commanders right up to the three stars feel that TTPs emphasizing superior C2, speed and aggressiveness keep them alive.
