Oh, I see. So they can trigger the embedded IED that much faster. Question: Does anyone know if there is the feasibility of some sort of radar like device that could detect IEDs in the road ahead?

The Polaris DAGOR is a compact military machine that uses a trophy truck-style suspension for extreme off-road capability...

Hey Sparky, did you miss the off road part or did you just not read the article?

One American engineer clears 18 mines in 6 square yards. It would have cost the Russians 18 men from the punishment battalion to clear the same mines.

"...did you just not read the article?"

A time honored tradition around here...lots of experts...don't need to read no stinkin' article.

I guess I’m from the Old Army, where massive or at least adequate cover was standard. These boutique forces today would never stand up against a Soviet or Red Chinese juggernaut of old for five minutes. I guess we’ll continue to see this kind of $h!t while we’re in asymmetric warfare.
