A senior Department of Defense official says President Obama and his administration are giving the public inaccurate information about his foreign policy strategy, particularly with regards to Iraq.
Joseph Miller, the pseudonym for a ranking Department of Defense official who has served in Iraq and Afghanistan, wrote in The Daily Caller Tuesday, partially in reaction to a statement released by White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest which said that the decision for American military forces to leave Iraq “was predicated on the will of the Iraqi security forces to fight for their country.”
Miller said this was “not true.”
“In 2010, General Lloyd Austin, then-commander of the United States Forces in Iraq, directly informed the president that over 20,000 U.S. troops would be required to maintain the gains made by U.S. forces against al-Qaeda and its affiliates, and to mentor the fledgling Iraqi security forces- because he knew they were not ready to go out on their own.

I had seen Ted Koppel of former Night Line Fame being interviewed a few months after he left the show, still before the election. He was asked about Obama's candidacy, and he gave a typical yet somewhat unusual response to the seeming inevitability of Obama's election. He said (and I'm paraphrasing) "it would make America proud, admired by the world by what a great country it was to have the voted a part black man as President in that America had proven that by voting for a half-white black man we were proving how great this country was".
I really doubt at all that we are admired more today for that singularly horrific, tragic mistake of having voted for an overwhelmingly mendacious,inherently felonious American-hating sociopath because he was black.
At first, throughout the time as he acted presidential, seemingly patriotic, I thought, well,at least he's acting the part.
But in the past few weeks having taunted America saying something along the lines that all jobs will be meted out no matter what the legal status of the job seekers were, that he had brought two illegal aliens by the Presidential limousine to some fundraiser,my sense of seething for this man reached a level of hatred I've ever had for anyone to an unprecedented level, the sense of overwhelming,vituperative antagonism in which he seemed to revel in just simply blew me away to the extent of this man's vehemence towards America.
Now, so what? So what that he wasn't born here in the US? So, what that he's ineligible to be president? So what that he continues to violate, transgress every law of the land, so what that he doesn't pretend to care about America, about Americans? So what that he's destroying America from within and without, so what that he's been allowed to run amok, free, and unshackled, nothing, no one can or will try to stop him? So what that he continues to weaken our country, our economy, our stature in the world with carefree wanton abandon, out of control, out of his mind?
The question is; how do we stop him, who is going to stop him??? And with that, an utter, eerie stoic silence seems to appear out of nowhere, a suffocating deadness comes falling down out of the sky, like some early winter snowfall covering the landscape, no one out there who wants to get snowbound as they rush home to the warmth and comfort of the only America they have ever known.

In this world there is no other tangible answer that can be discussed. It really should be 100% of the focus, but we keep getting distracted. Part of me believes the WH 'fence-jumper' incursions were intentional. Among all the other 'distractions' (including so-called 'immigrants'), I believe US-Ebola is another.
However, while we may remain focused on the fact that our problems may be represented by 'one man' at this time (as a figurehead), the enemy is not just one man, but your/our neighbor, your/our co-worker, your/our family members, your/our friends.
Whenever 'I' mention the latter, I also metaphorically 'hear a stoic silence'.
The America I have known would not seek to remove Constitutional Rights without due process, would not have labeled my father, his son or their brethren a domestic terror threat simply as a result of their political ideology or a result of fighting for the Constitution those same people I mentioned would see torn up & rewritten...and on, and on, and on...
For clarity, I frequently harken back to an oath taken by me, my boy and many of us:

Obama had no concern or ambition to be concerned about what might befall Iraq if we left too little behind too soon - none of it mattered to him, compared to the ideological & political mandate to pretend the war in Iraq “was over” just because he pulled all the combat troops out.
That was the political mantra he subscribed to - “end the war”, which really had no real consequential meaning other than pulling our combat troops out.
You see, Marxists/Progressives/Liberals are never acting with reflection on the consequences of their actions. It is always merely fulfilling a pure ideological objective - massively reduce the U.S. footprint in the world, because its mere existence - its superpower footprint - is the “bad guy” in the world. The basis? Ideological and nothing else. And success? It has nothing to do with “results” as the only results they are ever interested in is was the ideological policy realized or not. If it was, then that’s success now and later, no matter any consequences.
