Thomas A. Duncan, who became ill with Ebola after arriving from West Africa in Dallas two weeks ago, succumbed to the virus today (Sunday), reports Reuters. Duncan was fighting for his life at a Dallas hospital on today after his condition worsened to critical, according to the director of the US Centers for Disease Control.
The Dallas hospital that admitted him did not recognize the deadly disease at first and sent him home, only for him to return two days later by ambulance.

The hospital was beyond inept, sucks that the tax payers of Tx will likely foot the bill.
I believe this is a county hospital.
Maybe,if only the nurse who triaged the pt knew that Liberia was a country on the African continent.

The virus is known as Ebola Zaire for a reason (that's where it came from along the Ebola River in what is now known as the Congo (again)--not Liberia.)
This outbreak started in Guinea, not Liberia, so they are wrong on even that point.

Maybe-Maybe not. They are continuing to monitor him. Remember that Dr. Brantly’s first test was negative. He had to wait for the 72 hr. test to know for sure.
Same ole stuff, different day and different country. Patients in the outbreak regions of Africa were tested and sent home, only to show up a couple of days or so later, worse and testing positive for Ebola.
Meanwhile they were around other people while being in a more contagious condition that when they first presented. Seems we are going to follow the same lackadaisical path to increased exposures.
