CDC director: Travel ban could make Ebola outbreak worse
The Hill ^ | 10/04/14 | Cameron Joseph

A travel ban to the countries facing an Ebola outbreak could paradoxically make the problem worse, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Tom Frieden said during a Saturday press conference.

Waging BIOWAR against Americans does not help
Africa.
It gives, however, bot Obola and Frieden
more $$$$ and power.

Frieden and Obola have declared WAR on the American people.

You are sadly mistaken that anything less than the presence of God (Which can be invited or rejected) will “eliminate” anything that comes of sin.

Ebola does not spread like flu, but mostly through bad sanitation. It would be unlikely to ravage the Western world like flu has.

We can and should have flights by our military or commercial charter to deliver aid and equipment and personnel to the stricken areas. When these personnel return home they must be put in 21 day quarantine to ensure they do not have the virus.

Why? Are we out of parachutes?

You are delusional.

We do what is necessary.

To stand by and wait for “divine intervention” or “divine intervention” is tantamount to suicide.

I have seen multitudes of proclamations that state that “God” favors those who fight for the rights that “He” has bestowed upon us, and multitudes of proclamations that state that “God” loves his warriors.

Who are you to imply that the intentions of “God” and his will are not bestowed upon those who do not kneel to your interpretations?

“Bad sanitation” is a gross oversimplification, there are actually many factors that could make it spread more rapidly here than in Africa (mobility, large work/school/food centers). You are aware that several hundred medical personnel wearing personal protective equipment have contracted Ebola, yes? Did they follow poor sanitation? The most at risk sub-populations here also have bad sanitation, btw. I never suggested that it would spread like the flu— if it could do that half of us could be dead by the end of next summer. In modeling terms, R0 = 2 for this epidemic, instead of 2.5 for 1918. Do the math yourself if you don’t belive me— it would be slow, not in one year like 1918, but spread over a few years, but the end result would be worse.

1. Are there that many direct flights to the US right now? There probably isn't too much to stop. But do we really want to invite travelers to come here from the affected areas by issuing visas?

2. I doubt that they are deliberately trying to destroy the Red State US. Wouldn't an Ebola pandemic be most damaging to indigo-Blue urban areas? I've read that the #1 US destination of travelers from Africa is NYC and #2 is D.C.

While I don't think this is malice, this bunch is making the Bush administration look amazingly competent in comparison. How many days did it take them to get around cleaning up the mess in the Dallas apartment?

3. Finally, aren't asbestos suits illegal?

Make it worse in Africa

“CDC would consider any and all precautions, but warned that a travel ban could make it harder to get medical care and aid workers to regions dealing with the outbreak”

Ok sure, but your job is to protect *Americans*, yes? Can’t see how a travel ban is anything but helpful in stopping it from spreading.

Just wait until flu season hits to see what a completely paralyzed nation that battens down the barricades REALLY looks like as millions have symptoms that are much like how Eboli starts off! And thank you, President Obola for your “fundamental transformation” when flu season hits! Oh, and PLEASE let’s keep those West African shuttles flying back and forth, since obviously it would do no good anyway with your open borders policy. Oh, and everyone? Be sure to vote a straight Democrat ticket in November: they really DO care about you folks, ya’ll hear? After all:

“Now, I am not on the ballot this fall,” Obama stressed. “... But make no mistake: My policies are on the ballot — every single one of them.” (Including unrestricted West African air flights.)

I decided it is a good thing not to actually understand evil. Knowing it’s there is one thing, but getting so close to it is unhealthy.

The few times I have come close to figuring out just how they tick, I felt soiled by the experience.

We don't need to understand a rabid animal, only eliminate it.
