What's more alarming than the disease is what the crisis says about our lack of trust in U.S. institutions and leaders.
Doctors at a Texas hospital unwittingly release an Ebola-infected man. The hospital blames a flaw in the electronic health records system and then backtracks: The doctors blew it.
The home shared by the Liberian man and four people is a nest of infectious materials, where cleanup was delayed by more than a week due to a bureaucratic snafu. State health department officials apologize.
In Liberia, the U.S. assistance President Obama promised several weeks ago has been slow to arrive, according to The New York Times, "and logistical glitches have prevented the United States military from being able to quickly set up the hospitals and treatment centers needed to halt the virus." The general in command says it will take "several weeks" before the U.S. military is fully responsive to the months-old crisis.
Once again, Americans are reminded of the limits of U.S. social institutions in this case various state, local and federal government agencies and private-sector health systems that responded to the Ebola crisis slowly, inefficiently, and with a lack of candor that Americans, unfortunately, have come to expect...

Top Men.
President Obola makes me sick.
Exactly. The scariest thing is the US government under Obama. There is not a single agency under him that is working as it should.
The scariest thing is about the way it kills you. Although, of course, there are no fun ways to die.
No Ron...Ebola is far more serious than an our lack of trust in a inept government....
Ebola is simply exposing what happens when our once great institutions are corrupted by PC and government largesse...
Obalacare.
Of course, anyone who tries to point out that our "leaders" are not WORTHY of trust is shouted down: BIRTHER! CONSPIRACY THEORIST! ISLAMOPHOBE!
That about sums it up doesn’t it.
Let’s remember that Obama has pushed electronic health records one of the many government-mandated “improvements” to health care that Obamacare would bring us. Doctors actually talking to nurses seem to be much more useful, and are being displaced by EHRs, with dire consequences as the Dallas Ebola case shows.
Laz is working on it. lol
Doable: sending the u.s army to Africa to help with Ebola
Un-doable: cleaning up 1 Dallas apartment in under 1 week

Drop a dozen infected ISIS operatives in NYC and watch what happens. Shoot, just have them cross the Rio Grande outside of El Paso...it's a city of over 700,000.
Yeah, we know how badly they screwed the pooch just trying to set up a website for Obamacare: over a half-billion dollars, and it didn’t work.
These people couldn’t pour piss out a boot if the instructions were on the heel. They have to close one eye to squeeze off a fahrt.
The federal gooberment, particularly the executive branch: incompetent prima donnas. “That’s above my paygrade!” Most of us weren’t laughing when TOTUS spit that one out.
What’s disgusting are the lies of the Traitorobama regime, including the CDC, with a history of documented incompetence, and the fifth-column media’s lying coverup.
