You Want Executive Action? Here's Some Executive Action

By Mark Krikorian

The president promises to lawlessly amnesty millions of illegal aliens on his own say-so, enabling them to get work cards, Social Security numbers, driver’s licenses, EITC, foreign travel documents, and the rest. But there are executive powers that he really does possess that he’s not using. Senator Sessions has helpfully provided a number of “lawful, constitutional executive actions” that the president should already be undertaking but isn’t:

My colleague Jessica Vaughan points out that the president has the authority “to deny admission to any alien that has (or cannot establish to the government’s satisfaction that he or she doesn’t have) a communicable disease of public health significance.”

And Christian Adams explains that the president has even broader power than that, citing the statute that allows him to bar entry to any foreigner for any reason:

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

So, with all these lawful executive powers, why is he ignoring them and claiming powers he does not have?

“So, with all these lawful executive powers, why is he ignoring them and claiming powers he does not have?”

Because he, and his Leftist radical Democrats are the enemy within destroying this this Nation. They have no intention of leaving this Nation standing.

Krikorian gets it unlike the turkey in the WH.

Every one of those measures should be taken immediately but won’t.

The link in the article to Christian Adams got my attention. It’s damning, suggesting Obama is allowing Ebola to come here.

...........

Section 1182 (f) of the Immigration and Naturalization Act gives the president this power, which the Obama administration has refused to use even as Ebola threatens Americans. The law states:

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

Yes, it is damning. I read the article earlier today and almost posted a thread, I probably should have.

He’s dead on the mark with the overwhelming majority of his articles and definitely knows the law.

No, what he wants is for the illegals to vote.

A fired up President Barack Obama had a message to immigration activists at a dinner this evening in Washington, D.C.: "no force on earth can stop us."

"The clearest path to change is to change [the voter turnout] number," said Obama "Si se puede, si votamos! Yes, we can, if we vote!"
