I’m sorry, but those of us who pay attention already know to stay away from Six Flags.
According to the linked WaPo story, the fights may have been planned ahead of time via Twitter. That story also gives some frightening details about the size and scope of the melee.

I live in the DC area and NEVER go to Six Flags due to its location. We have passes to King’s Dominion but that place is getting run over by the undertow from Richmond.
We love to spend time at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg although they are more expensive and quite a drive from our home. The higher prices seem to keep out a lot of the riff-raff and makes for a very enjoyable time there.
Has the Supreme Court ruled yet that none of those flags can be the American one?

Taking a look at the situation, deciphering what happened isn't particularly difficult. It was a textbook "riot," a classic normalization of violence, undoubtedly incited by rival gangsters who took the "field" as their own upon which to do battle, among crowds of largely law-abiding kids.
Because it was in Prince Georges County, there in suburban DC Maryland, a majority of the kids present were quite naturally descendants of African slaves. What a banal kind of disappointment the evening must have been, after the sheer terror wore off. They wanted "Fright Night," they got it.
The managerial denials - all that "zero violence" tripe - almost as much of a riot as the actual incident. I didn't let my kids near places like this without a chaperone until they reached the age of majority. The general collapse of manners in the United States "majority" has been a part of life in 85 percent of the nation for almost a half-century.
I read elsewhere that it was black mob violence.
