Because there are no more Sheriff Andy Taylors but out of control ninja thugs out to protect and serve themselves. She needs to sue the city for every dime it’s worth. It’s a smal price to pay to wake up the taxpayers.

The mug shot explains why they thought it was meth.

Since when is it a crime to go out in public and not wear makeup?

Facial abrasions (especially above the left eye and below the right eye), dirty greasy hair, extreme smile while keeping her lips clenched (possibly hiding teeth that coincide with the rest of her unkempt features, and crusty leftovers in her purse).

That is a rough looking 23.

My comments about her “faces of meth” appearance were tongue-in-cheek, and not meant to be a conclusive verdict of guilt or innocence on anyone’s part. However, I have since read a couple more articles about this, and it seems there’s more to the story. Like the glass pipe, the spoon being burnt, her nervous demeanor, her initially giving a false name, and the sores not just on her face but all over her body, and a few minor details that just don’t add up.

I’m pretty sure I still don’t know the whole story, but I maintain that is a very rough looking 23 year old.

I'm 24 and a mother of five and there's plenty of days when I WISH I looked as good as that girl!

Yeah, whenever I think something is ridiculous, I get sores on my face, my hair turns into a greasy rat’s nest, and I look 20-30 years older than I am. /s

She may or may not be a meth addict, but I can certainly see why someone might think she is. She has “the look.”

Now whether or not the cops had reasonable cause to arrest her is another matter. Looking like a meth addict isn’t sufficient cause, but other articles I’ve read suggest there were other factors which contributed to their suspicions. And it probably wasn’t a good idea for her to give the cops a false name.

So you think people should be arrested for looking like drug addicts? I don’t.

When you are a hammer, everything is a nail. My take is that she probably turned him down when he propositioned her.

And you’d probably be right. LOL

But seriously, this 23 year old woman with sores on her face and body looks like one of the faces of meth.

From the backlash I’m receiving, it’s clear that some FReepers believe that although she doesn’t look like a meth addict to them, if she did that would be reasonable cause for arresting her with no further evidence.

I don’t believe anyone should be arrested for looking like a drug addict, or even for acting like one (as is alleged in the police report). I think there should be hard evidence, not just hard miles etched in the accused’s face.

She kind of has that ‘Melissa Leo’ look.
Or the girl Seinfeld was ‘dating’ that looked different dependent on the lighting she was in.

As to the ‘search’.
I used to make a run from DC to Philadelphia 5 nights a week and meet a driver from NY and he would take my load and I would take his.
This was back when the MD State Police were being accused of ‘profiling’ and I always figured once they were caught they would have to start stopping more random vehicles.

I sort of fit the bill, red Ford 250 Work Van, no markings on the side, but I did manage to use my turn signals, stay reasonably in the speed limit and not zig zag etc....

The line I was going to use (if stopped) would have been
‘Sir, I really don’t care if you search those boxes or not BUT first I want to call the lawyers I am working for and see if anything in there is to sensitive for random viewing’.

Never had to use it but would probably have been able to ‘walk’ ..... My other ‘thing’ was to maybe ‘threaten’ them with discrimination charges as they were just stopping me for being White and needing to balance their score.

Never had to use that one either and being of ‘reasonable intelligence’ don’t think I would have...UNLESS of course I had been detained for any amount of time.

Bottom line is, drive like you have some sense, cooperate when pulled over and chances are you will either not get pulled over or be sent on your way in a timely manner.

Sometimes one must just grit their teeth, force a smile and say ‘Thank You’ or ‘I am sorry’.
Works wonders.....

I didn’t say she wasn’t wearing makeup, and I didn’t say it was a crime to go out in public not wearing makeup. I said the mugshot explains why they thought it was meth.

Turns out, there were plenty of other reasons for thinking it was meth.

what aspect of her mug shot convinces you she is a meth addict or is suspicious?

I've looked all over and finally found the article. Here's what's up: Cops in Georgia are no picnic. They will simply make some crap up. You think for a second that if the cop found a 'glass smoking device' that this would not have been seized as evidence? It's not in evidence, therefore, the cop is lying. As far as sores, I'm not seeing any on her face, so if the cop says he saw them there and on her body, well, I take the claim with the same credibility as the claim of sores on her face and a glass smoking device.

According to the article, she didn't give a false name on first contact/arrest. She missed a pretrial, then gave a false name in another encounter (in Jackson County). Not wise, but a little less damning, and slightly more understandable, after the first encounter with overzealous Hall County cops.

I'm not even seeing them, but let's say they exist: Facial abrasions are part and parcel of dealing with cops these days. So is being nervous. And a forced smile on a mug shot, not revealing teeth, hmmmmmm.... yeah, okay, that one is a dead giveaway per guilt.

The meth abrasions above one eye and below the other, the greasy unwashed hair, and the overly enthusiastic smile while clenching her lips closed over her teeth.

And then there are the other details here and elsewhere. Giving a false name, carrying a glass pipe in the bag with the spoon which had been burnt, sores on her body to go with the ones on her face, etc.

I don’t think she should have been arrested for looking like a meth addict, but then again, I dont think she was.

Read the article I provided. She gave a false name in Jackson County, well after this event in Hall County. Again: Not wise, but a lot more understandable.

I have no tattoos, wear no hip-hop clothing, i have a short haircut, I visit no bars, discos or pool halls, i have zero tattoos, no felonies or misdemeanors.

Yet I was robbed of my cash in the Mission District of San Francisco in the middle if the day.

I really did trust cops at the time and I was convinced that things like that only happen in Mexico.

But I assure you that you can be the most of law abiding person and get robbed by the cops or mistreated like this poor woman, whose life I assure you has totally changed.

I no longer trust cops.

They have the same tattoos as the scumbags and they listen to the same vile rap music as their scumbags frequent flyers
