I guess they can’t see the skeletal structure, skin tone, texture or anything in a speedo or something?
One of the nude models at my school was an anorexic dope addict. All art majors had sketches of Anorexic Annie in their portfolios.
I took art classes in college. We had nude models posing for us. They were not people you ever wanted to see naked. There was not the least bit sexual thing about it. But then again pervs gonna perv.
The first mistake was no charging for the classes. A small fee per session would have eliminated much of those who were merely curious.
Next, the article didn’t state if the sessions were advertised. If they were, that was a mistake. Serious artists let each other know by word of mouth where figure sessions are being held.
Oh grow up. It's a university art class - nothing else needs be said.
What was stupid was the university canceling the class. Ten to one it was to appease Muslims after being perpetrated by Muslims in the first place. After all, it's freaking Oregon, where liberal political correctness has replaced their State constitution.
A lot of the male models do wear a sort of covering cup like actors wear. It just covers the genitals, and doesn’t conceal or distort the skin and musculature of the backside as a Speedo would.
The poses aren’t sexy. The models pose pretty much like classical sculptures.
I can imagine the quality of model on display for a free class. We had live models (clothed) in High School, nudes in college. All paid and none worth a phone call later.
Do you let your teen daughters roam the hood naked?
Non sequitur.
If my daughter, having attained legal maturity, chose to pose nude for an art class, I would not have approved. Whether my disapproval would have been determinative, I cannot know.
