With six weeks to go, the fight for control of the Senate is down to five states, four of them currently held by Democrats.
Republicans must win only two of those contests to guarantee the 51 seats they need to control the Senate for the last two years of Barack Obamas presidency. And they need to win only one of the Democratic states if they hold the only GOP seat at serious risk.
While things could still change and national polls continue to show an environment that may produce a substantial GOP wave in the House and Senate the Senate battle has boiled down to two reliably red states and three swing states.

Bingo!
Who might be Sarah’s guest?
I agree and yours are especially good.
Oh, the FRHRFC is buzzing with indignation.
They are to be discerned from true FReepers who just haven’t let go of the Primary elections yet.
This has been a hell of a primary season, and I harbor at least 5 blood-grudges. But I can wait until we take the Senate to start undermining the RINOs and GOPe that made it that way.
More RATS are on the ropes than the media will let out via polls; thus the need for more RAT operatives deployed to depress conservative morale.
And the beautiful thing is: No RAT in trouble can call in any of their ‘luminaries’ to stump for them, because there ARE none! This wave election is moving more towards Tsunami.
I’m being to think Harry Reid’s campaign is being run by Rove.
No wonder GOP candidates are struggling. This should be a wave election.
I saw an interesting article today in the British press that the 1st Minister of Scotland was misled by a high price U.S. based polling firm who told him that YES would win on the Scottish Independence Referendum. These private polls are an order of magnitude better than the garbage that we see in the public arena, but it was wrong and by a large margin.
The polls are all over the place and are not to be trusted. Nate Silver adds his special sauce to the polling data and he is probably closer to the mark. But, I wonder if he is going to be able to to see the wave when and if it comes. We could all be surprised.
I really believed you. What you said could have come from any of them. LOL
I don’t think so, I’m not that funny.
Why join Harry Reids Fan Club?
The GOPe Senators have done a pretty good job of enabling
Harry Reids agenda and bills. They don’t fight. They roll over.
I guess you never heard of Ted Cruz, Mike Lee or Jeff Sessions, either.
LOL No, you’re squared away.
Nate Silver adds his special sauce to the polling data and he is probably closer to the mark. But, I wonder if he is going to be able to to see the wave when and if it comes.
I posted
“The GOPe Senators”
Do you know what GOPe Senators are?
Let me help you out. They are NOT conservative senators, like Cruz,
Lee, Sessions, etc
GOPe = RINO’S
The RINO senators (turtle, Cochran, Graham, Rubio, Cornyn) have to turn to the Chamber of Commerce to crush the TEA challengers.
That means they don’t have grassroots power like Cruz, Lee, Sessions.
What was your point, again?
What it means is the GOPe’s voted for cloture on Harry Reid’s
Liberal bills. Instead of fighting, they enabled Reid with their cloture
votes on numerous liberal bills.
So that they could then vote against those bills on the floor, beat their
chest and pretend they did something.
And empowering Ted Cruz is not that FAR AWAY ... he already had NINETEEN in September, 2013 and TWENTY-SIX would constitute a majority of the majority.

This is where Ted Cruz is now, imagine where he’d be if he had the whole Senate under him. The thread above is all about cloture votes.
this is war, not a beauty contest and we need to stop obola and his arrogant eric beholden....
of couse we could have done that in 2012 except for so called conservatives looking for their virgin sacrifice.
BRAVO and well said cherry
And the beautiful thing is: No RAT in trouble can call in any of their luminaries to stump for them, because there ARE none! This wave election is moving more towards Tsunami.
True enough.
I am usually among those on here advising the defeat of these hyper-destructive leftist democrats, even at the cost of voting for less-destructive RINOs,
but,
I would like to point out that the loss in 2012 had a lot more to do with reduced blue collar white turnout for Romney than it did with a lower conservative vote.
But wait a minute.
I thought Losertarians only get .0001% of the vote anyway?
Thank you so much for your post. That makes me feel so much better. I keep hearing back and forth. But knowing that you have the real situation going on makes me feel great.
