“Berman read from the letter during the sentencing hearing and appeared sympathetic to its claims, directing D’Souza to undergo “therapeutic counseling” and telling him that he had doubts about him accepting responsibility for what he had done.”
What the hell is this- a commie tribunal? “Sit down, Mr. Leemis (Spy who came in from the cold).
Counseling for political views. What kind and length of counseling would he recommend for obamaumao? None of course.

D’Souza said on Fox last night that he could still write and make films, and would be teaching English to new immigrants as his community service.
Still a political prosecution. Would like to see a comprehensive list of all such prosecutions.

And how many of these will be children from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras?

Worse yet is that there are numbers of Americans who are stupid enough to vote for Hillary for president. I don’t think she has a chance of being elected but the idea that even a tiny percentage of Americans are that stupid is frightening. Some of them are even so stupid as to suggest a Hillary/Michelle or Michelle/Hillary ticket with the only problem being how to decide which of these two world’s smartest women should be at the top of the ticket. Now you really have to be some kind of idiot double dipped in stupid sauce to think that!
Of course at this point we may as well elect Snoopy president with the Red Baron as his VP, the same things would happen because the real power is behind the scenes.

Yeah, the stupidity of some/many people drives me up the wall too. BTW, barring any shenanigans by any secret shadow powers, Snoopy and the Red Baron would be an improvement. BTW, I've given thought to a H.R. Pufnstuf/Witchiepoo ticket too. B-)

I will just consider Federal prosecutors or government people coming after me to be members of a criminal gang, and deal with them accordingly... I'm in.
Maybe even ahead of the curve.

D'Souza himself has also insinuated that he was the victim of political retribution. In a scene in America, for example, he appears in a prison cell and says, "We don't want to live in a society where Lady Justice has one eye open and winks at her friends, and casts the evil eye at her adversaries." I'm not sure if D'Souza made that remark after he was indicted on the campaign finance charges, but he's right on target with the above quote, regardless.
"Lady Justice has one eye open and winks at her friends and casts the evil eye at her adversaries." That's as good a metaphor as any for the Holder DOJ!!!

This is an outrage, another first for Obama’s America, a POLITICAL PRISONER.

RE:”

Obviously he didn't think he had a constitutional case to press if he pleaded guilty.
There is nothing we can do now about this.

This is an outrage, another first for Obamas America, a POLITICAL PRISONER. You can't say that D'Souza is the first political prisoner in American history, but it is an outrage nonetheless.
BTW, D'Souza was thankful to the federal judge who sentenced him to the "halfway house," since that penalty was considerably more lenient than the one year plus in hard time for which the prosecutor was asking.

Berman read from the letter during the sentencing hearing and appeared sympathetic to its claims, directing DSouza to undergo therapeutic counseling and telling him that he had doubts about him accepting responsibility for what he had done. That letter that Berman read from is apparently from D'Souza's ex-wife from whom he was separating at the time of the questionable campaign contributions. She wrote to the court in support of the prosecution's harsher sentencing recommendation. I can't help but think that perhaps it was the ex-wife (or a friend of hers) who ratted him out to the DOJ to precipitate this whole matter.
Yes, this "therapeutic counseling" smacks of "re-education camp." But the sentence indicates that the Democrat judge was playing it half way, coming up with a sentence less harsh than the one asked for by the Obama-Holder DOJ, but at the same time offering a pronouncement that Democrat hacks like to hear.

I sincerely hope D’Souza uses some of his wealth to tie this sentence up. It's completely inappropriate and the judge should be removed from the bench. Since when should a disgruntled, soon-to-be ex-wife’s letter used as evidence against when determining a sentence?
