On Monday several Members of Parliament from Diwaniyah Province confirmed that ISIS killed over 300 soldiers using chlorine gas for the first time in Saqlawiyah, north of Fallujah.

Islamic Dawa party MP Ali al-Badri said, at a press conference at the parliament building in the presence of a number of deputies of Diwaniyah province and attended by IraqiNews.com that “the terrorist organization ISIS used chlorine gas for the first time in the region of Saqlawiyah after trapping more than 400 troops, resulting in the deaths of many of them due to suffocation while the terrorist gangs detonated car bombs within the brigade headquarters.”

Badri said, “We hold the full responsibility for the fate of the trapped soldiers to the Commanding General of the Armed Forces, Haider Abadi, and the security leaders, especially the Anbar Operations Chief, Lt. Gen. Rashid Flaih, because of the slow measures taken by the Air Force despite frequent appeals for rapid procedures to rescue the soldiers since several days ago.”

Badri added that the “Saqlawiyah crime is considered as the second Speicher Massacre,” stressing that “300 soldiers were killed in the attack.”

Update today 16:37 :

A representative from the Ministry of Defense offered no comment on the gas attack when contacted by an IraqiNews.com correspondent.

I do not believe Assad ever used chem weapons. ISIS (rebels) did in order to coax the US into Syria to get rid of Assad.

this guy says that the government knows who did it and are not releasing the truth.

“My great grandparents would beg to differ.”
Just stating the facts, ma’am.

Chlorine gas burns the throats of its victims and causes death by asphyxiation, much like mustard gas.

If he [Obama] sent any letter, it would be a letter of congratulations. ISIS is obama’s baby. Through and through.

Yes. It's available in all sorts of cylinders too, I used to work with 2000lb CL2 gas cylinders. All ISIS needs to do is open the valve upwind, it's not any more complicated than that. Our setup was a lot like this;

PS And I’m talking about the subject: warfare, not Zyklon B if that’s your point.
Of course with Arabs the line becomes muddled, so I suppose I grant your point.

Chlorine is not really a WMB like sarin and the bio WMDs. It is commonly available in all sizes of compressed gas cylinders. When it’s compressed it turns to liquid much like propane. There is no need for fancy rocket delivery. See post 46.

Was that sarcasm? I’m probably wrong but I think sodium chloride is NaCl, or common table salt.

So the Iraq war was illegitimate because there ‘were no WMDs’; now that the enemy is using WMDs what is the excuse for not engaging them?

Devastating to the Iraq army. Let it be known that Obama and ISIS have conspired to create a global caliphate through murder and mayhem

Have no fear about a member of our military using chlorine. Every Marine knows how to kill someone with their bare hands so if we have 200,000 working now plus all the veterans, you better stay away from any person you think is a Marine.

I don’t know about the other branches.

Don’t forget to look both ways before you cross the road and always use your turn signal when driving. Be careful using bleach in your laundry, it’s chlorine.

Islamic State's taunting speech calls for killing American civilians

Obama told reporters during a White House news briefing. "We don't have a strategy yet."

Seems to me that one side using weapons of mass destruction opens up a responsibility on the other side to act with extreme prejudice.

There is no need for fancy rocket delivery.

Exactly!

Why to Politicians, Pundits and Prognosticators, plus a few FR Posters insist on protesting that this group or that group "does not have the technology to produce rockets/missiles with the needed range & accuracy!"

A cylinder of compressed chlorine gas from a water treatment plant can be strapped to a donkey to make a functioning "WMD" delivery system. An overweight atomic fusion bomb can be put in a container, semi-trailer or 35 foot motor yacht to create one also.

ISIS recruits by terrorizing and by displaying their "macho creds". ALL people, including ISIS hardliners, are susceptible to some form of terror. Try a few on them and see what works. This is not the time for the Marquess of Queensberry rules.

Capture a few ISIS fighters, feed them to a pack of feral hogs, strap a bomb vest to each of the hogs and parachute into Friday ISIS services.

Complete video to be broadcast on YouTube, BBC, Al Jazeera , Agence France-Presse, MSNBC & CNN at 7!

(since "ISIS is NOT Islamic", this could not be considered religious persecution)

(PETA may have a conniption-fit, though!)

I agree. Yet, it is late in the day, of such actions- being useful.

Or they are demonstrating the scary prospect that we could have a terrorist gas attack in the U.S.. Very seldom do terrorists want to give one message or simply kill, they also want to deliver fer factor as well. We have been lucky to have not experienced a Tokyo subway gas attack. But sadly it could happen.

Chlorine is an easily made at home chemical. The fact that we have not had a gas attack on our civilians yet shows how fortunate we are.
