Video of Live Insect in New Jersey High School Lunch Investigated By Checkey Beckford
A student at North Bergen High School sent this video of what appears to be an insect crawling around in what he says was the school lunch. Saturday, Sep 20, 2014 A New Jersey high school's food vendor says it's investigating after several students began circulating video purporting to show a live insect squirming inside a taco salad school lunch. Video taken by North Bergen High School students show what appears to be a small worm on the lunch plate. One girl posted the video on Instagram, and another boy sent video to NBC 4 New York.

We had worms in our baked beans regularly in school.
A little extra protein! :-)
Cod has a worm problem, too.
Another Michelle Obama-mandated “nutrition enhancer” for the school lunch menu. Enjoy, kids!
Big deal, kid. Buck up and realize there is a world outside of McDonald’s and your mama’s teat.
Eyew...
Looks like an maggot.
Yuck.
If this is true and not a prank by the students, this should be investigated and some sort of sanctions applied.
Unsanitary conditions, for sure, and I suspect the ‘workers’ are likely illegals, third-world types of some sort, and have no appreciation for modern sanitation practices like keeping the food preparation areas clean AND washing hands.
I doubt if they were worms. What you saw were the germs of the beans. The germs are the part of the seed that grows into the plant. The germs are white and look just like a small worm. Bean sprouts are the prime example.
No...these were actually maggots.
The health department actually shut down the entire school at the time.
This was back in the 1960’s
Moochelle’s protein subsitute?
Michelle, did you get the salad we sent you?
It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time!!!

Nonsense! It's just fly eggs and can be washed off!
Yet another reason to avoid salad.
Protein! Moochelle approves!
Jeez...no one likes to see worms or bugs in their food.
But, it is going to happen from time to time. Suck it up, so to speak.
They should be happy. Many school children around the world don’t get a protein lunch.
Just look at it as another source of protein and thank Michelle.
“But I’m a VEEEEEGANNNNNNN!”
Vegans eat a lot of bugs, so what be da prob?
