>>Brilliant idea dude. So, who gets the Navy, the Coast Guard, the Marine Corps, Army and Air Force?

Every person needs to go where their conscience tells them to go and the bases can’t really be moved. I think that a large portion of the military would stick with the states that are leaving the Progressive-Secular-Homosexual States.

Texas has several strengths, including a nearly autonomous power grid, except for El Paso being connected to the west grid and parts of East Texas being connected to the Eastern US grid.
And the state has two nuclear power plants, natural gas plants, coal fire, etc. - and lots of oil and natural gas production to keep the lights on.
Every other state has a big problem trying to be energy independent and divorcing from the national grid.

Oh please with this bs! Whatever faults there are with America and Americans(except Muslims, they don’t belong here and the queers need help, most of ‘em anyway, the rest.. I don’t have to tell you, you know) but breaking up The United States of America is bullsh!t! That was tried once before and over 600.000 people were dead before that side that thought it would have been a good thing found out it wasn’t. I don’t want to live in a Balkanized country.

Who writes these headlines?

Does anyone really think those same 25% didn’t support it last year or the year before?

Nobody is “following” Scotland

fta... First, the lack of exit polling and the methodical counting of votes ensured that those watching the coverage of the independence ballot had to wait until the late hours of the evening to get a clear picture of the results.
***********************************************
Off topic a bit, but I believe the damned exit polls and media predictions based on them need to be banned. The results from such actions on the East Coast precede the closing of polling stations in the other time zones and do influence the turnouts. ...jmo

‘Americans were… unimpressed. First, the lack of exit polling and the methodical counting of votes ensured that those watching the coverage of the independence ballot had to wait until the late hours of the evening to get a clear picture of the results. Who doesn’t project election outcomes these days? Second, Americans clearly know how to organize secessionist movements far better than do their Scottish brethren. ‘

Oh dear, sorry we disappointed you. Like we ******* care.

Be careful with conclusions here. The scots that wanted to break away were wild eyed liberals. Same thing here, a bunch of Starbucks patrons that think the Constirurion is outdated. You might “join” such a movement and find yourself in a hippie conclave in California. I’d like to see the Lib/Consv breakdown on the 25%.

Yeah, lets turn the greatest nation in history into a Balkanized mess with nukes. Bloody brilliant.

I’m actually worried about Alaska. What’s to keep Russia from just walking in and taking it? Much of it is uninhabited and we have a weak president.

It’s already a Balkanized mess. I’m just saying that we shouldn’t have to have our enemy as a next-door neighbor or a government that wants to ban our religion or that declares that some unseen force known as “white privilege” is why the son of a black doctor deserves special benefits, but the son of am unemployed white coal miner deserves no help whatsoever. This country has already turned into an evil caricature of what it was meant to be and it needs to be broke up so that everyone can live as they choose. Let the socialists be socialists and let the free people be free.

Sounds like a worthwhile building project for the new nation. The states that mentioned are capable of supplying the needs of those states. Its the liberal states that try to keep their power production out of their own backyard. Florida has plenty of capacity right here in our own state.

I like that, except gerrymandering should be outlawed as well.

Wholeheartedly agree. But the “don’t pay taxes” must not be based on deductions. It must be based on entitlements.

No where near ‘’Balkanized. Talk to someone from that region as I have and even the state America is in now is far different than the country once known as Yugoslavia.

We aren’t in full civil war, as the region once known as Yugoslavia has been in, but the term “Balkanize” does not mean civil war. The US is in a pre-civil war state. We have groups that do not share a national identity anymore, but do have a strong racial identity, living in close proximity. The same people lived together in Yugoslavia under Tito, but didn’t fight. This was because the strong totalitarian government kept them peaceful. The US is the same thing. It keeps the factions at peace through handouts and selective enforcement of laws. Let this government lose its ability to buy the peace and you’ll see Kosovo right here in some area of the US. The best thing is to split up now while we can afford to build the new nations and avoid the bloodshed.
