So the United States elected a “slave” as US President?

(don’t look at me, I didn’t vote for him)

The first writings were discovered in the middle east/north Africa and dated to around 4000 BC.

Those records proudly recounted all the slaves that were being taken in battle.

If they are credited with creating civilization, then they should also be credited with everything that came with it.

Ancestors of so-called African Americans were here of their free will.

Think the idea for Monroe was to offer ONE WAY passage to Liberia for all who wanted to go.

Of course ‘we’ have no way of knowing how wide and far the word was put out......After all, they were enslaved and am sure the owners weren’t going to clue them in.

Of course the biggest fallacy of slavery was the treatment.
Admittedly you can figure some may have been hobbled to keep them from running off, but it was a ‘cash crop’ and only a stupid person would pay good money for labor then starve or abuse them to the point they were of no value.

Am sure there were some dissidents but can’t really see the way they try to tell us there was nothing but whippings and hangings and throwing people over board on a grand scale.

The original draft of Irish didn’t exactly have 1st Class accommodations for passage and weren’t treated like royalty either.

I guess we will be getting ‘our’ reparations next...s/

Yes, my son was pushed hard by Columbia. He’s a good red state boy with an eye on engineering. Yeah, he chose Colorado school of Mines. (After old Dad told him about Columbia).

It wasn’t the US government. A private charity purchased what became Liberia in the 1820’s to resettle freedmen and slaves they bought out of bondage.

Yeah, but just try getting all those slaves off the Democrat plantation. It ain’t gonna’ happen. They like the attention, and the reparations taxpayers give them. Besides, they get to revert back to their savage tribal days.

I think you should copyright the word.

It may wind up in the urban dictionary.

So about 7 generations back Lincoln freed the slaves. Now the slaves’ descendants claim they are victimized because their great great great great great grandparents were slaves??! They should get down on their knees and thank God that they aren’t still real Africans. The liberal entitlement policies have kept them in poverty and despair. 22 trillion and counting since the mid 60s.

Congress authorized President Monroe $100,000 for a group of influential White Men (American Colonization Society) for the relocation of freed slaves and their families.

I stand partially corrected.

Too bad the plan failed, IMO, but it was always doomed.

Yesenia Barragan is a PhD Candidate in Latin American History at Columbia University, where she is writing her dissertation on freedom and the abolition of slavery in Colombia.

Aha. Another advocate for Aztlán. Probably an illegal alien herself.

The fact that black people can be shot while assaulting whites and cops is proof of racism!
