Boehner and Pelosi Unite to Pass Bill Funding Planned Parenthood, Obamacare, Syrian Revolutionaries

House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) joined forces early Wednesday evening as the House passed a continuing resolution that will fund the government after the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30, and that will permit funding for Planned Parenthood (the nation's largest abortion provider), the entirety of Obamacare, and an amendment requested by President Barack Obama "to train and equip appropriately vetted elements of the Syrian opposition."

The bill passed 319 to 108 with four members not voting. But there were not enough Republican members to pass the bill without significant support from Democrats. While Pelosi sided with the Republican leadership and voted for the bill, 53 Republicans joined with 55 Democrats in voting against it.

It pains me that Idaho is not represented by 100%ers.

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a government-funded abortion in a baby carriage!

That is his son-in-law, the twice-arrested Dominic Lakhan. First arrest for open container (beer) while driving. Second arrest for open container, car smelling like pot leading to discovery of marijuana, also while driving.

I think that politically this may have been done so Repub’s can't get pounded by the MSM about a government shutdown before midterms.

No. It was done to insure a "lame duck" session.

The presumption is that the new Congress will see the Republicans in control of the Senate. And that the House will have an even more conservative tilt.

Consequently, it would be even harder to pass some controversial legislation -- such as spending bills that continue to fund Planned Parenthood and Obamacare...and, for exammple, amnesty.

The "lame duck" session will be theoretically mmore disposed toward taking such action.

In other words, extending the continuing resolution until December 11 instead of next March is a cynical means of legislating against the public's will.

Exactly. This is a bilateral agreement to lay low until the Lame Duck session (not required but Boehner will call one) which will enable departing losers to screw us all royally.
