ESPN Commentator: We Need To Reprogram How We Raise Men (LESBIAN FASCIST ALERT!)
www.breitbart.com ^ | 14 Sep 2014 | Breitbart TV

On ESPN’s “SportsCenter” earlier this week, espnW columnist Kate Fagan argued that the big picture in the controversy surrounding former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice’s domestic violence allegations. According Fagan, the problem needs to be tackled at the so-called grassroots level when men are in their formative years. “Well, I think right now we're talking so much about firing Goodell or punishments. You know, should it be a three game, a two game, a six game, a full year ban? But I think that's a little reactive and not proactive. Domestic violence is something that happens in anger, in the moment and it’s very unlikely that perpetrators are worried about whether it will be a two, a six, a 12-game suspension. This is behavior that is happening at the grassroots level that is born through years of our culture like raising like men to want to not be like women and using language like ‘sissy’ and ‘you throw like a girl’ that demean women. These are all contributing factors. And I think if we want to hold the NFL’s feet to the fire over this issue, we shouldn't be looking at the number of game suspensions because I don't think that will change the problem. I think it should mean getting them to throw the kitchen sink at domestic violence. To invest millions of dollars in grassroots organizations, in going into middle schools and high schools and colleges and talking to young men about dealing with anger, about how they treat women. I think that’s where you're going to see change. I think that right now all of this reactive behavior is not going to change it, as much as going in and going into the school system and the younger spaces and really reprogramming how we raise men.”

whatever they do, they better not look at domestic violence stats by race per capita.

if they did, they might realize the issue predominately resides with one group

No, most men are good people and I certainly don’t take advice from someone whose attitude toward men lumps all of them into her bigoted framework.

Thanks for your opinion.

Opus.

Mother of good men
**despite the fact I have had to fight the demasculinization and outright bigotry toward males throughout their school years.

If I'm an NFL owner, I ask these questions: How many games do you attend per year? Whose your team? How much merchandise do you buy?

If the answer is "none" to any of these, dismiss them.

I could not have said it better. Thanks for verbalizing what I have thought but couldn’t find the words. “Bitter hateful misfits” is an apt description.

No argument, but as NY Post columnist Phil Mushnick points out:

A large contingent of players in the NFL had no consistent father, biological or otherwise, in their childhood and adolescence.

This cohort is a product of woman-only parenting.

“millions of dollars” is the phrase that struck me. Every solution a liberal has a)doesn’t work, and b)involves fleecing the taxpayer first.

Yes by unfortunately the millenials are full of them. You should see the social justice tumblars out there with concepts like skinny privelidge, ablism, and a whole host of other ridiculous crap spouted by precious little snowflakes. Giving every kid a participation trophy, patting them on the back, and telling them how super special and awesome they are has serious consequences. You should see what they are trying to do to video game culture and industry, demanding that their every sensitive little butt hurt be catered to.

if you want some laughs, go read about the tumblar femenists failed raid on 4chan.

let’s say you went into a fabric store:

would you want to buy sewing stuff from a man a masculine man dressed up as a trucker?

wouldn’t you instead seek out a very feminine woman who been working in that field for a long time?

I don’t understand why we read football writing from a feminist.

Also I don’t understand why in a war on terror we turn to Fareed Zakaria, who is Pakistani.

No way is this a defense of domestic violence but….

This “lady”, as a modern feminist, she is doubtlessly opposed to the traditional chivalrous acts by men that show deference to women because, as they think, the underlying reasoning behind them is the inferiority of women. The male opens the door for the woman not because he is a gentleman but because it keeps women in their place, dependent on men.

So if Ray Rice had punched a man who had hit him and spit on him? Would anyone have been upset at a 2 game suspension or would people have been upset if he had been suspended at all? But because the victim is a woman there seems to be this race to see who can be the most outraged, who can propose the most extreme punishment, not just to Rice but to the NFL, the Ravens, and anyone associated in any way with the incident.

So here is an ESPN commentator who has spent her career talking about equity now demanding very unequitable treatment for no other reason than the victim is a woman. I’d guess most FREEPERS agree that Rice punching a woman is worse than hitting a guy in a bar fight, but then we haven’t spent our adult life trying to guilt people into pretending that there is no difference between men and women’s basketball. By demanding greater punishment based on the gender of the fight’s loser feminist are going against the world view that they apply to every other issue.

Of course if liberals and feminist weren’t hypocrites they would have been marching in the street demanding “pit some ice on that” Bill Clinton resign.

I ignore ESPN and maybe 99% of the rest of network TV and have for years.

My spouse the sports addict has sports TV, radio, or streaming on most of the time.

They all want to get into the schools and brainwash the kids, when in fact everyone I grew up with already knew the rule that “you never hit girls.” Follow the rule and there is no need for brainwashing. That was pre-kindergarten...

One of the lead stories on the ESPNW site is Hope Solo setting a record career shutouts by a soccer goalie.

No mention of HER domestic violence.
