June 2009 to June 2014. This report found, depressingly, that five years into an economic recovery, real median household income is now 3.1 percent below that of June 2009 when the great recession officially ended. In dollar terms, real median household income fell by $1,698. So much for the Obama claim on Labor Day that by nearly any measure, the economy is doing better. Well, actually, for more than half of Americans, their personal financial situation is worse.
...
the poor and unskilled that Mr. Obama says he cares so much about saw their incomes fall by 7.4 percent for those with less than a high-school diploma and 8.2 percent for those with only a high-school diploma.
...
One reason incomes havent risen for most groups is the steady decline in labor-force participation. That number has dropped to 62.9 percent from 65.5 percent five years ago. This means a 6.4 million drop in workers earning paychecks.

Good.
The folks south of the border can work HERE for three lousy months and live THERE for the other nine.
They come here for the MONEY...no other reason to come.
And the Jews vote for the political party which hates Israel.
There’s a lot of self-hatred out there. People make bad choices.
Robespierre eventually found himself on the wrong side of the guillotine, too.
Is welfare included as part of income?
I am wondering if these groups are actually receiving more because of welfare benefits.
Ya beat me to it.
“I am wondering if these groups are actually receiving more because of welfare benefits.”
That was my first thought as well. I’m not sure if they receive more (fill in the blank) in benefits, but that ‘free’ $hit will certainly keep many of them on the plantation and voting democrat.
Anyone who voted twice for the Disaster-in-cheat deserves any pain from Barrynomics.
........., but that free $hit will certainly keep many of them on the plantation and voting democrat.
No doubt about that.
There are so many that are now receiving so many different types of welfare — disability cheats, food stamps, WIC, day care (mama keeps half), etc.
The article neglects to point out the run-up in food costs, gas and other essentials. Those increases further erode the real incomes of all groups. Milk and ground beef are at all time highs.
The poorest are always hit hardest by liberal policies. They have destroyed many of the good paying jobs for the lower skilled, lower education people. They believe that all they have to do to replace those wages is to raise the minimum wage.
Gee, thanks.
Did it ever occur to you that it is also hitting non-supporters just as hard?
Minorities, elderly, sick, women and children hit hardest.
Totally unexpected.
Did Robespierre and his fellows have millions of firearms and billions of rounds of ammunition?
What Good Can a Handgun Do Against An Army?

You’re preaching to the choir. I’m not eating filet mignon and lobster with drawn butter with a nice Cabernet while I write this, I assure you. My $100 car turns 31 soon, it has no air or heat, the springs poke at me and only one door unlocks. Only the front windows roll down and there’s no working radio. Most of my clothes are older than some of the people on this site and my shoes are from the V.A. due to my edema and diabetes. Getting the picture? I was a Katrina refugee who received next to nothing from Uncle Sugar due to my skin color. I was laughed out of the Texas food stamp office and later took a supervisory job at the Workforce Center (due to a long background in another state doing that work) passing out goodies to the Louisiana Katrina folks. Guess what the difference was between them and me?
You forgot bacon.
I’d cry about it, but gosh, I’m all cried out.
OH, and I can’t stop laughing for some reason.
Democrats’ War On Women (and everyone else) ping.
