A little known fact is Nixon saved Israel in ‘73 by resupplying them after they lost most of their arms in Yom Kippur war.
The revenge was ‘73 oil embargo and the media destruction of Nixon.

Israel’s bomb program was described in an article in Rolling Stone, not very many years after the 1973 war — the only time Israel was getting ready to use the weapons. They’re believed to have approximately 100-150 warheads by some, more likely they have between 50 and 75. Thanks babylon_times.
