Cruzifiction

Ted Cruz has made a serious mistake—one supported by sentiments of millions of American evangelicals—and it could cost the lives of many Christians.

I suppose you’ve heard by now that Ted Cruz was recently “booed off stage” for a senseless, ill-placed “stand with Israel” gaffe at a banquet for persecuted Middle East Christians. The worst part of his comments is not that they were calculated for self-serving political purposes—as others have noted already. Although that is certainly bad enough, it is hardly as offensive as the main implication of what he said. Apparently, we must agree with him, or else we are filled with hate and anti-Semitic.

When he said, “Christians have no greater ally than the Jewish state,” boos and jeers erupted from a vocal minority of the audience. It is not clear what their exact motivation or angle was, but it is clear that they did not agree fully with the political import of Cruz’s statement. The unfortunate twist came, however, with how Cruz interpreted their opposition: it has to be “hate”; it has to be “anti-semitism.”

It can’t be that Middle East Christians have a had a worse experience with Israel than the rainbows blessings Ted Cruz has learned about in some pro-“Israel” Bible study, safely tucked away in America somewhere between the pages of a Scofield Bible and a Left Behind novel, with hands laid-on by a charismatic millenarian prophesying about blessing “Abraham’s seed.” It can’t be that Middle East Christians are stuck in a much messier political scenario than is convenient for American evangelicals to comprehend within the box of their tidy eschatologies.

Whatever it is, it can’t be more complex than can be solved by the type of shameless political demagoguery you would expect from a Clinton. If you don’t follow...

You see with some faux “conservatives” (RINO lining) when a conservative takes a bold stance, they start shaking with fright, their teeth chatter, their knees knock....

“Don’t upset the leftists!” they say “Don’t make Muslims mad!”

Ted Cruz did the exact right thing. The question is why was he invited to an anti-Israel function in the first place?

If a Democrat had done the exact same thing at that conference and stood up for Israel, these same media that are attacking Cruz would be hailing them as a hero.

“Junior Senators with no executive experience are not Presidential timber.”

Junior Senators are apparently not all the same. In our history experience, executive or otherwise has not necessariarly been an indicator of a good President. Senator Cruz is and has indicated he has the qualities to be more than a “good” President. Character counts.

All Ted Cruz was doing was pointing out that Christians in Israel are free to practice their faith, not so much in the rest of the middle east and that the jews are also a persecuted minority.

Not exactly. What he was doing was telling them who their friends are while they are busy trying to get their relatives safely to France. Expect to be BOOd when you do that.

So, tell me, is it a coincidence that the group to whom Cruz was speaking, In Defense of Christians, shares the acronym, IDC, with the group, Israel Divestment Campaign?

It's no accident, that's for sure. It's also no accident that Cruz got booed. Look at who the participants were. Says right on their webpage....

Historic Gathering Will Feature Patriarchs from Middle East, Lawmakers and International Human Rights Activists

Will feature patriarchs from the Middle East (Muslims), Lawmakers (Leftists) and International Human Rights Activists (More Leftists. So it's no wonder Cruz got booed by that crowd. He was addressing the enemy in sheeps' clothing.

It was a TARP. He sensed it and walked away from it after declaring it a TARP.

Cruz was responding to the hate-filled speeches before his (he was last), he changed his statements to counter those messages.

I don’t know this group but I have doubts there are actually Christians in it.

What exactly has Israel done to help the Christians? The only country that has offered refuge is France.

If Cruz had second thoughts about what happened, political, moral, anything, he wouldn’t have gone on the Kelly File to explain it, he would have just written it off.

The fact that so many on the left are trying to trip him up with the invitation that he declined after accepting proves this was a TARP.

Because Israel doesn’t even have space for her own people who are trying to come home, where Christian Arabs can go anywhere a nation still proclaims to be Christian? France is actively pushing Jews out, or haven’t you noticed? Of course they would welcome ‘Christian’ anti-semites to take their place.

You have no way of knowing what Israel has given the Peshmerga and the Green Berets as far as intel, arms, things needed to prune back IS.

We presently have the junior freshman Senator from Illinois in the White House. Junior Senators with no executive experience are not Presidential timber.

I'm perfectly fine with my "junior" Sen Cruz proving that premise wrong.

They didn't exclude people who may support Hezbollah. It's not the same thing.

But some people are using articles like that to support Cruz, and there's talk that he read them and went to the conference expecting conflict.

If there were speeches like that at the conference we would have heard about them.

But some of the speakers had made comments before that could be regarded as anti-Israel or anti-Semitic, and Cruz most likely became aware of that.

Best bet, though, if you think some place you might speak is portrayed as pro-Hezbollah or pro-Hamas is probably just to cancel.

invitation could have been a simple mistake but
often
the rich IslamoNazi backers (largely in Arabia, Gulf, etc. but here too) think they can bribe ALL American politicans to sell out on any subject they dictate

recalling the famous Saudi royal prince (largely resident in USA) who bragged as long ago as the Carter years that he could buy any American politician or officeholder, and it was no problem whether it gave them money then or later (say, after they left office), because they’d still do what he told them to do ... indeed, witness Carter!!!!!!
millions of IslamoNazi $$$$ to his socalled “library” and so forth....
also now witness Hillary... and there are more, including some with R’s after their names...

I think, personally, that once so many American politicans sell out any principles (if they ever had any??) so easily, that the buyers (or renters?) of these political whores just get the idea that they can buy/rent ANY American politican....
