LETTER: Obama better for US than Bush, Romney
The Daily Freeman ^ | September 12, 2014 | Linda Stuart

Posted on 09/13/2014 6:52:10 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Dear Editor:

Re “LETTER: Obama has ruined America,” Aug. 30, 2014, by James T. Varelas: The writer obviously has been drinking the Fox News and the Tea Party Kool-Aid. His statements are totally ridiculous and without any merit. All veterans do not share his comments, but he would like you to believe that somehow, coming from a vet, it makes this credible.

The reason Obama was voted in a second time is the country wanted to move away from an executive office that believes shoot first and then aim.

I shudder to think what shape the country would be in if Romney was voted into presidency.

The economy is on the mend, as is employment and the stock market. Our soldiers are coming home. Our people can now buy health insurance for the first time, and the USA has once again gained the respect it deserves. We were the laughingstock of the world during the George W. Bush years. Billions were spent for a useless war, and our economy was in the tank.

The politicians that believe we should jump into a military option in every country that is having a problem should first send their own sons and daughters to fight. We should not be involved in anyone else’s war, unless our own country is truly threatened.

Linda Stuart,

Ruby, N.Y.

It would not be the amnesty Obama and the democrats have in store for America under Romney. Rather it would be a pathway to citizenship, coupled with new leadership in all branches of government; most critically to amnesty argument Eric Holder would be gone with the Win(d). The purest here at FR mostly have a glass half empty attitude towards Republican candidates, and while I hate the establishment GOP, we have all become activists seeking to overthrow all of society, from the major political parties on down.

As unbelievably delusional as this letter is - the newspaper still printed it.

Because she wouldn't be getting as many government handouts.

The level at which these poor fools are deluded is literally of Biblical proportions.

Boy is she right! The chocolate ration has been upped to twenty grams . . .

But . . . but . . . but it was 25 grams last week . . .

I’ve seen that same script, verbatim, a thousand times. When I point out things like the fact that they can’t think of a single family on their block who doesn’t have a family member that it out of work or has lost their home they just blink and change the subject.

When I tell them that all those people who “can now buy health insurance for the first time” aren’t really buying anything - they’re now signed up for medicare (guess who is paying their bill) and that emergency room visits are dramatically up because Øbamacare has upended most of the healthcare industry they go quiet. And when I ask for a single anecdote where anyone outside of ISIS and the muslim brotherhood speaks positively of the United States they are silent.

The truth is that I can’t be certain that they even believe this amalgam of leftist stalking points since they are so insincere in their presentation.

I usually top it off with “GW was a better golfer too, but he had the decency to give it up out of respect for the soldiers and our nation during a time of war”.

When the US is attacked on a massive scale by terrorists Obama will be the one to blame. He has not kept us safe.

But did they want a doper illegal alien president who doesn't think, has no idea what his aims are and who shoots blanks?

That is why they put selector switches on M-16.

I know what sh!t the country is in since Romney was not voted into the Presidency.

Ms. Stuart, the free stuff ends when nobody pays for it.

“We should not be involved in anyone else’s war, unless our own country is truly threatened.”

This sycophant of Barry The Great doesn’t even realize she has given justification to those who can see, that everything that Barry and her stand for, IS the threat to the United States.

The STUPID.... it HURTS!!!!

LOL. The writer of this letter may be referring to the Kool-Aid that Tea Party drinkers DRINK, but this clown is SWIMMING in the Progressive Kool-Aid (which is not red BTW. The Progressive Kool-Aid is yellow, and tastes like urine, but Dear Leader says its not, so their sense of taste must be wrong.)

“Rather it would be a pathway to citizenship...”

You do realize that our Southern Border was FLOODED with kids because of a perceived “pathway to citizenship”.

We have ENOUGH people from that part of the world...how about we start importing people (again) from countries that are closer to us in values and government?

Unreal. Bush did his job and was not one to make excuses like zero. He did not screw off like Zero. Bush did not cow tow to Iran or anyone. The main mistake Bush made was not blocking/sealing off the border, and he allowed the Mexican truckers plus was a big NAFTA fan.
