Re “LETTER: Obama has ruined America,” Aug. 30, 2014, by James T. Varelas: The writer obviously has been drinking the Fox News and the Tea Party Kool-Aid. His statements are totally ridiculous and without any merit. All veterans do not share his comments, but he would like you to believe that somehow, coming from a vet, it makes this credible.
The reason Obama was voted in a second time is the country wanted to move away from an executive office that believes shoot first and then aim.
I shudder to think what shape the country would be in if Romney was voted into presidency.
The economy is on the mend, as is employment and the stock market. Our soldiers are coming home. Our people can now buy health insurance for the first time, and the USA has once again gained the respect it deserves. We were the laughingstock of the world during the George W. Bush years. Billions were spent for a useless war, and our economy was in the tank.
The politicians that believe we should jump into a military option in every country that is having a problem should first send their own sons and daughters to fight. We should not be involved in anyone else’s war, unless our own country is truly threatened.

I’m still on the fence between Romney and Obama. With Romney, we likely would have had Amnesty by now...with a Democrat president, it actually is easier to oppose such an INSANE move.

There was no health insurance before the ACA? And good luck finding a doctor who’ll accept it.

It is beyond absurd that these liberals can be either so blind to reality or have the audacity to make such false statements. False propaganda is not patriotic.
In a sense, they are no different from the old USSR communists or the 8th Century bound muslims. The end justifies the means.
It's because the Left has reached critical mass. They know they can say and do anything, no matter how outrageous or deceitful, even to the point of outright lies, and no one will call them on it.
No one on the Right will gainsay them for fear of being called racist. And the Media will only praise them as "speaking truth to power" - even though they're the ones in power for the foreseeable future.

LOL...certainly on Amnesty (i.e., the issue that decides whether our grandchildren grow up in a third world country or not) Bush was at least as bad as Obama...maybe worse. Other stuff, it varied, from just as bad to maybe a bit better.
This dimwit is too dense to see the endgame of what happens when wagon riders outnumber wagon pullers by a critically high number: the pullers quit and the most vulnerable riders get hurt the most.
