Probably not. Scotland is more left-wing than England, and we know how the lefties love muzzies......

Ireland or N Ireland?.

And please tell me where are no-go areas in NI?. Sorry, you are talking nonsense. The Muslim pops in both NI and the Irish Republic are small/tiny and if there are no-go areas, its news to this actual Scot/Brit. I would be interested to know where you are getting your facts from.

If you said London, Bradford, Birmingham, you might have a point. But Belfast, Dublin, Limerick, Carrickfergus, Londonderry?. I think not.

Your other comments about Cameron, the UK and Islam are just also nonsense.

If Scotland can secede, so can Texas

No. That statement is not logical. The two States are members of two very different nations with two very different constitutions.

Whether Scotland can secede from the United Kingdom has no bearing whatsoever on whether Texas can secede from the United States.

Texas is succeeding just fine. But yeah, we may need to secede before the lefties move in and take over.

So, you think that it’s OK for Texas to walk away from the Union?

What’s to add constructive to crazy? Texas did that twice. They are batting .500. You think it’s smart to try it again? I think it’s a ridiculous idea.

Hard to buy into that map as Texas has more mosques than any other state. That would have to be dealt with first.

In Federalist #43, Madison indicated that because the Constitution was a contract or compact, not a treaty, it would be governed under contract law, not treaty law. Under treaty law, if you think you're getting a raw deal, you can simply withdraw from the treaty by notifying the other partners of your withdrawal. Under contract law, if you think you're getting a raw deal, you must ask the other parties to the contract for permission to withdraw.

Madison believed that unanimous consent would be required for even one state to secede because that act of secession would dissolve the Union and abrogate the contract.

Under Madison's guidelines, all the states would have to approve the withdrawal of Texas, and then the states could, if they wished, reinstate the Union without Texas.

In your scenario, Texas will attract most if not all of the now known as “Red” States.

I am all for letting the stupid liberals keep their Blues, Left Coast and Nuevo England. It won’t take long before they come begging for “us” to rescue “them” from all the Come-Yets.

Secession sounds better and better to my ears.

I view us reaching a point where there is genuinely nothing left to lose. America itself, with the rule of law dead, no soveriegnty thanks to open-borders, a degraded populace that elects a marxist scumbag for president, and a culture drenched in deviancy and homosex.

Indeed, nothing left to lose.

The window to do this was 2010-12. Now, so many yankees have moved down here that it would never pass at the ballot box although I’d LOVE to see it happen. Washington is dragging Texas into the gutter with them.

Besides, didn’t Texas try this once already before it got whipped back into line by Abraham Lincoln and the Feds?
______________________________________________________

Not Exactly:

Texas is the only state that has been its own country. After Texas won its independnce from mexico in the battle of San Jacinto it became the Republic of Texas.

Mexico didnt want to give up so easy and that spawned the Mexican war which the US intervened in and won and annexed Texas from Mexico.

Has the author cleared this with the neo-Lincolnites?
