WIS arrived at Timothy Jones' trailer on South Lake Drive in Lexington just as officials in Alabama confirmed the discovery of the bodies of five small children.
The scene in the quiet trailer park community was extremely tragic, with more than a half dozen neighborhood children crying loudly and asking "how could this happen?"

What is the story of the mother of these children? I have not read anything about a mother.

Andrea Yates did not use a firearm.
This story could still gain traction in the media, but I think it could be that media has a sick fasination with moms that murder their kids.
However, Tim’s jury will not be as lenient as Susan Smith’s or Andrea Yates’ juries.
Saw a video of his father before the press. Of course, we heard how his son loved his children, blah, blah, blah.

Five children, whose lives from beginning to end were seemingly regarded as little more than throw-away rags. It’s stomach-turning.
Looks like the mom had an affair which caused the divorce and likely enjoying her life with her new man.
Neither have I. A couple of local stories have been posted on FR and that's all we have locally as well. I know one of the first stories said the mother said it was not unusual for the dad to disappear with the kids and not know where they were. I'm guessing that's why these missing children were not a big news story until 2 days ago. I think they disappeared on 9/3.

I just watched the “Forensic Files” episode on her a few weeks ago. Very sad story.
It was horrific. Her kidnapper promised to grab a blonde child on Friday (I think). I took the day off work and kept my little blonde daughter at home with me. Of course he grabbed the little Helmick girl out of her yard.
